…Celebrate With Cupcakes

card_1433

We’re celebrating birthdays with cupcakes this Thursday, Verve fans!  I decided to use the “Carpe Cupcake” set to create this bright and cheerful birthday card along with a sentiment from “Birthday Bash”.  I used some patterned paper from SU’s retired Hand Drawn Designer Series Paper pack along with some Red, Olive, and White Cardstock.  I stamped the images and sentiment in Black Ink, then colored them with Copic Sketch Markers.  The cupcakes were cut out and popped up off of circular panels, then I added a flower and brad to the top of the last one.  After adding some Pearls, Paper Piercing, Stickles, and tons of Dimensionals the card was complete.

That’s it for me today!  Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you back here again tomorrow with another TGF Farm Fresh Friday Challenge!  Until then…

…Verve Day Birthday

card_1428

Happy Thursday, Verve fans!  Who couldn’t use a stash of birthday cards to use during the year?  I know I can use all of them I can get my little hands on!  I decided to make a handful using this certain design that features one of the sentiments from the “Birthday Bash” set.  I used some patterned paper from SU’s retired Ginger Blossom Designer Series Paper pack along with some Kraft, Melon, and Ruby Cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment in Black Ink, then added some Rhinestones below it.  I stitched some Melon Saddle-Stitched Ribbon onto the designer paper panel, then added a bow in some Ruby Grosgrain Ribbon.  I dry embossed the large Kraft background panel with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, then paper pierced the edges of all four sides.  I used the Bracket Edger Punch to add a flourish border to the top and bottom of the same panel.  After adding tons of Dimensionals the card was complete.

That’s it for me today!  Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you back here again tomorrow with another TGF Farm Fresh Friday Challenge!  Until then…

…Verve Day Mojo Project Parade

Happy Thursday, Verve fans!  I’m here with my creation for this month’s “Something Old, Something New” Project Parade over at the Verve Blog.  I completed the parade on Tuesday of this week, and the Divas really knocked it out of the park for this theme!  I took the theme as a personal challenge to not only combine both old and stamp sets, but to also use old and new patterned papers, cardstocks, embellishments, and techniques.  I hope you enjoy the end result as much as I enjoyed making it!

With Christmas just around the corner, I wanted to take advantage of this month’s theme to create a card using the older sets “Star of Wonder” (sentiment) and “Holly Jolly Christmas” (holly accent) along with one of the newest releases “Fabulous You” (frame).  Julee was kind enough to send me an advanced copy of this week’s Mojo Monday #156 to use as a template for this seasonal delight…thanks so much, Julee!  I dry embossed the Chocolate Cardstock panel using the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, then stitched the multiple strips of patterned paper from SU’s retired Holiday Harmony Designer Series Paper pack to the same panel.  I distressed the edges before adding it to the Green Cardstock panel.  The sentiment and frame were stamped onto the same White Cardstock panel, then the holly image was stamped onto a scrap piece of White Cardstock.  After the holly was colored with Copic Sketch Markers, I cut it out and attached it to the sentiment panel using pop dots.  I added some sponging in Chocolate Ink around the edges of the sentiment panel, then accented it with Red Pearls.  After adding the Red Cardstock base the card was complete!

That’s it for me today!  Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you back here tomorrow with another TGF Farm Fresh Friday creation!  Until then…

…Verve Day Howdy

card_1431Happy Thursday, Verve fans!  Here’s a little something that I created using one of the new sets called “Happy Hello”.  I used some patterned paper from SU’s Maine Blueberry Designer Series Paper pack, and I kept the layout very clean and simple.  White Stitching was added along the edges of the bottom panel and the smaller vertical strips, and the checked panel was pierced with a Paper Piercer and Mat Pack.  I stamped the sentiment from the set in Cotton White Staz-On Ink onto a piece of Olive Cardstock, then cut the panel out using Nesties and a Big Shot.  After adding a Paper Flower, Rhinestones, a Button, and tons of Dimensionals the card was complete.

That’s it for now!  It’s going to be a crazy day today as I have three (3) posts going up for you all today!  Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you back here in a few with a TGF Scrapbook Challenge!  Until then…

…Verve Day Best Day

card_1427

Happy Thursday, Verve fans!  I have absolutely LOVED each set in this month’s release, but I’m featuring a set that was given as a free gift with every $35 purchase…it’s called “Framed Wishes”.  If you didn’t get a chance to order before August 31st, then you’ve missed out on this set for a while; but have no fear…this set will be available to purchase in the next month or so!  I used some patterned paper from SU’s Fall Flowers Designer Series Paper pack along with some Kraft and Aqua Cardstock.  I stamped the images in Olive while also adding Olive Saddle-Stitched Ribbon to the card.  The patterned paper was torn then stitched to the distressed Aqua Cardstock panel.  I punched out three aqua flowers with the Trio Flower Punch and added Cream Brads to the centers.  After adding tons of Dimensionals the card was complete.

That’s it for me today!  Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you back here again tomorrow with another TGF Farm Fresh Friday Challenge!  Until then…

Today we are showcasing “Great Friend”.  The 12-piece stamp set includes 3 sentiments, 6 flowers, and 3 leaf images.  I stamped one of the solid flowers twice in Lavender Lace Ink, then stamped the outline of those flowers in Black Ink twice as well.  I added a leaf to each end of the flower row, then added both Stickles and Rhinestones to the solid images.  I pierced the edges of the top White Cardstock panel, then stamped the sentiment in Black Ink.  I also sponged the edges large lavender panel with Lavender Lace Ink and a Sponge Dauber, then embossed the lavender horizontal panel with Cuttlebug’s Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.  I created the wavy edge on the bottom of the card front using the EK Success Bracket Edger Punch.  After adding tons of Dimensionals the card was complete.

Hello again, Verve fans!  In just a few days Verve Stamps will be releasing a plethora of new stamp sets, and the Divas will be showcasing a new set every day from today until Thursday, August 19th.  You can find a list of participating Divas each day at the Verve Blog.  These amazing sets will be released on August 20th after our Release Chat at the Verve Forum.

Today we are showcasing two sets; “Happy Hello” and “Kind Words”…I’m using “Happy Hello” for my preview today.  This 17-piece stamp boasts of 11 sentiments, circular and square frames, and smaller circular and square accessories.  I wanted to keep the layout simple, so I used the Got Sketch #101 challenge from the Got Sketch Blog.  I pierced the edges of the large White Cardstock panel using a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, then stamped the square frame onto several pieces of patterned paper from Stampin’ Up’s Walk In The Park Designer Series Paper pack.  Each square was cut and attached to the white panel using Dimensionals.  I stamped one of the sentiments twice in Black Ink onto a scrap piece of Coral Cardstock, then added the smaller square images above them.  I used the Slit Punch to create scallops on a scrap piece of Black Cardstock, then stitched the scallops across the sentiment panel with white thread.  As an embellishment, I created a flower using MFT’s Flower and Leaf Trio Die, then added a White Button with Black Hemp to it using a Mini Glue Dot.  After adding a few Rhinestones and tons of Dimensionals the card was complete.

Today we are showcasing “Love Story”.  The 20-piece stamp set has 14 sentiments, a flourish frame, a decorative heart, and three dove images.  Julee has totally outdone herself once again with this wedding/anniversary set.  I wanted to keep the layout simple, so I used the Fall To Layout #81 challenge from the Clean and Simple Stamping Blog.  I pierced the edges of the top Kraft Cardstock panel, then stamped the sentiment in Black Ink.  I also sponged the edges of the panel with Sahara Sand Ink and a Sponge Dauber.  I used a 3/4” Circle Punch and 1” Circle Punch to create the "windows” in the panel, then stamped two of the dove images inside them.  After adding some White Pearls, Black Saddle-Stitched Ribbon, and tons of Dimensionals the card was complete.
