...Featured Stamper #39

This is my submission for the Featured Stamper challenge on SCS. Jimmi Mayo is a phenomenal stamper with an eye for layout and color. She is a true inspiration! I CASEd (Copied And Shared with Everyone) one of her cards, but changed several elements while keeping the overall composition. The Chocolate Chip card base is covered with designer papers from the Outlaw collection. Each piece of designer paper was stamped in Basic Brown using the Sanded background stamp, then the edges are sponged with the same color. A piece of chocolate ribbon is wrapped around a scrap piece of chocolate cardstock and placed over the seam of the two designer papers. The sentiment is from the set So Many Sayings (hostess set), and is stamped in chocolate on Very Vanilla cardstock before being punched out with the Small Oval Punch. The sentiment panel is matted with Sage Shadow paper that has been punched out with the Large Oval Punch. Antique pewter brads from SU's HodgePodge Hardware finish off the sides of the panel. The entire sentiment is popped up using Dimensionals.

The medallion panel is made using the following colors starting from the bottom: Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow, and Very Vanilla. The sage and vanilla panels were punched on the corners with the Ticket Corner Punch. The edges of the vanilla panel were sponged with chocolate also. The medallion from the set Wanted was stamped twice onto the designer paper in chocolate; then one whole medallion was punched out using the Scalloped Circle Punch, and the center of the other was punched out with the 1-1/4 Circle Punch. The scalloped medallion is mounted onto a 2-inch round piece of chocolate cardstock, and the center piece was mounted onto chocolate cardstock that was punched out with the 1-3/8 Circle Punch. Another piece of chocolate was punched out with the 1-inch Circle Punch, and a sage piece was punched with the 3/4-inch Circle Punch. The star from the Wanted set was stamped in chocolate onto sage paper, then punched out with the Star Punch from SU! Another chocolate paper star was punched out, and the two were matted to make a ten-pointed star.A pewter brad was placed in the center to keep them together. Each matted layer of the medallion is separated by a Dimensional, and is then placed onto the focal panel. The dimensionals lift the medallion high off of the card front for a dramatic effect. The corners of the medallion panel are finished off with more antique pewter brads, and the focal panel is raised above the ribbon by using dimensionals once again.

I am so tired after making this card...but it turned out exactly the way I had envisioned it! It's time for dinner, so I am going to go enjoy some home-cooked food! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you all tomorrow! I have found several new and wonderful blogs to share with you, so I hope to update my blogroll tomorrow as well.

Hugs ~ Mercy
