This one is for Mel! She had requested that I make a card using one of the sets that she already had. So I chose Seaside Sketches along with Wonderful Words. I used the following colors of cardstock: bashful blue, garden green, barely banana, cameo coral, pale plum, and whisper white. I stamped the image and sentiment with staz-on black, then colored in the image with my markers (garden green, creamy caramel, blush blossom, cameo coral, barely banana, close to cocoa, chocolate chip). Then I sponged the background with bashful blue and pale plum. I hope this is a good example for you, Mel...it was fun to make!Tomorrow I will have another card for you using one of the sets that will be retiring at the end of this month (I'm just not sure which one yet). Very cute card. I don't have this set but often wanted to do a sponging technique. How were you not able to get the sponging in the background with out getting it on the image? Did you mask?

I didn't mask...I actually used an applicator for eye shadow close to the image. The tip is usually small enough to fit between most of them. Then, if you needed to , you could use a sponge on the outside portion of the image...it's usually a little quicker. Hope that helped!
