Cracked Glass Technique

This card is made using the cracked glass technique. I used The Art of Life, Floral BG, Print Pattern BG, and Canvas BG stamps. The colors of cardstock include rose red, whisper white, and sage shadow. The same inks are used except for whisper white. The image is inked with markers and stamped-off three times in order to create a more faint background. Don't worry about the technique yet, because I will be teaching it in one of our first classes this next club year. I finished off the card with some sage grosgrain (purchased from http://www.ribbonsandbowsohmy.com/). The main image is also lifted over the ribbon using dimensionals. Enjoy!
My oldest son, Christian, is returning from our church's youth camp this evening, so I wanted to get my post in early or it wouldn't get done. The youth left out last Sunday morning and headed to Panama City, Florida to the Laguna Beach Resort. Our church (New Heights Baptist Church-Ringgold, GA) goes to camp every summer, usually with one or two other churches. This year, however, the youth leaders thought it would be better for our youth to go alone. Last summer, we lost our pastor and music minister, so the church has been caught up in limbo for the last several months. The leaders thought it was a good idea to have the youth together in order to bring them closer so they could learn to depend on each other, and so that they could learn to be accountable to each other. I have to agree that it was the right thing to do. It could be because Christian excepted Christ as his personal Savior only weeks go, and this was his first youth camp experience as well. Our prayer is that they return with a fire and zeal for Christ, and His work, that will spread through our church and community like a wild fire. Please be in prayer for our church...there will be alot of changes coming in the very near future. We are voting on a new pastor this Sunday, and then there will be a search for a new music minister. We are at a very crucial point for our church family, so pray that the right people will be elected and the right decisions will be made for God's glory.
Have an awesome weekend!
