...A Taylored Teddy

This is my submission for the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #74 from Friday. How adorable is this image and sentiment from C.C. Designs' set "Sweet Treats"? I had first noticed these little guys in Amy Rysavy's blog, then my friend Pam brought hers to house on one of our stamping days...and I was immediately in love! This little guy was colored with Copic Sketch Markers, then I added some Stickles to the ice cream for some *sparkle*. The only embellishments used were ribbon and jumbo silver brads.

...Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #64

This is my submission for this week's Taylored Expression's Cupcake Challenge #64. I started with a Kraft Cardstock base, then matted each additional layer with a combination of Kraft and Basic Black Cardstock. The patterned papers are from the Urban Oasis Designer Series Paper pack, and the large panel was pierced using a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer. The images and sentiment were from the set "Down By The Pond" by The Greeting Farm. They were stamped in Basic Black Craft Ink on Watercolor Paper, embossed with Clear Embossing Powder, then colored with an Aquapainter and Classic Ink Pads. I created the scene with Copic Sketch Markers and a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, then sponged the sky in Bashful Blue Classic Ink. The embellishments include a Silver Swirl Clip, a Kiwi Kiss Button from the Button Bouquet collection, a piece of 5/8" Light Turquoise Ribbon, and some Silver Cording.

This was my submission for Taylor VanBruggen's Cupcake Challenge #61. This pretty little fairy is named "Phoebe" from Stamping Bella's new KETTO stamp line. She was stamped in Basic Black Craft Ink, embossed with Clear Embossing Powder, then colored with Copic Sketch Markers. Her wings were colored with a Gold Sakura Glaze Pen, then her hair and wings were highlighted using a White Signo Gel Pen. The patterned papers were from the Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper pack, and the cardstock colors include Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red, Whisper White. The button was from the Button Bouquet collection, and I added some Linen Thread to the button also. Edited to Add: the sentiment was from Stamps and Smile's "Cuppy Love" set.

This was my submission for Amy Rysavy's Friday Sketch Challenge #55. This beautiful fairy is called "Suzette", and she is also from the KETTO collection. She was stamped and colored in the same manner as the other card image. The pattern papers were from the Pink Flamingo Designer Series Paper pack, and the cardstock colors include Basic Black, Real Red, Cameo Coral (textured), and Whisper White. I added some Silver Brads and a piece of 5/8"Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon. Edited to Add: the butterfly was also from Stamping Bella, and it is called "Papillion".

...Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #59

Sorry for not posting anything for the past couple of days, but I have been enjoying spending some time with my hubby. He has been pulling double shifts for a little over two weeks now, and Thursday was his last one for this week...so I have enjoyed having him home for a change! :)

I felt so guilty about not posting anything for you all, and I really liked Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #59 sketch for this week...so I decided to do a little something for you! I started with a Real Red Cardstock base, then matted the additional layers with Basic Black Cardstock (the focal panel has an additional mat of Real Red Cardstock, too). All of the patterned papers were from the Pink Flamingo Designer Series Paper pack. and the large dotted panel was pierced using a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer. The coral circle panel was cut using my Big Shot and the Classic Circle Nestabilities {thanks, Pam}.

I stamped the image from the Stampin' Up! set "A Kind Word" in Basic Black Craft Ink onto a piece of Watercolor Paper, then embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Gun. I colored the panel using an Aquapainter and the following Classic Ink Pads and Refills: Real Red, Cameo Coral, Tempting Turquoise, Summer Sun, Close to Cocoa, Blush Blossom. The sentiment was stamped on a scrap piece of Cameo Coral Cardstock in the same manner as the focal image. I added Silver Brads to the focal panel, and a Black Button with some Silver Cording to the sentiment panel to complete the card.

I've actually completed two cards today! Hard to believe, huh?!? I needed to make up for missing a post yesterday, so I buckled down and finished two cards to show you today. I don't have much time to go into great detail with each card, but all of the supplies that I used are listed at the bottom. I have tons of laundry to finish, two boys to run all over creation, and a house to get cleaned up before starting another hectic week. The activities of a stay-at-home mom never end! :)

...Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #47

This is my submissions for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #47 from Friday. I started with a Baja Breeze Cardstock base, then matted each additional layer with Chocolate Chip Cardstock. The Whisper White Cardstock panel was pierced around the edges with a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, then three Silver Brads were added to the bottom right-hand corner. I used a 1/4" Circle Punch to punch out some Baja Breeze Cardstock circles to go under the brads, then matted those with Chocolate Chip Cardstock circles that were punched out with a 3/8" Circle Punch (I also used the Mat Pack and Paper Piercer for proper placement of the brads). The sentiment was from the Love & Happiness Rub Ons pack, and it was placed just above the brads. The completed panel was attached to the card base using Dimensionals.

The patterned paper was from the Autumn Vine Designer Series Paper pack, and was matted with Baja Breeze Cardstock. A piece of 5/8" Light Turquoise Ribbon was added around the panel, then the completed panel was attached to the base using SNAIL Adhesive. The focal panel mats were cut out and embossed using Spellbinder's Classic Circle Nestabilities, then attached over the ribbon panel using Dimensionals. The image was from the Pink Poison (soon to be the Greeting Farm) stamp set called "McSplendid Farm". The adorable horse was stamped in Graphite Black Brilliance Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock, embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Gun, then colored with Copics Sketch Markers. I then cut out the image and popped it off of the round panel using Dimensionals.
