…ATS Challenge Meets a Flutter By Sketch

card_1445

FBW120_090110

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  It’s time for another challenge from the All That ScrapsWednesday Challenge Blog!  This week’s challenge was to use LACE on our creations!  I combined the lace challenge with today’s Flutter By Wednesdays Challenge #120…a Sketch By ME!!!  I chose to use one of the My Favorite Things’ Pure Innocence images called “Fairy Girl”.  I colored the image with Copic Sketch Markers, then paper-pieced her dress and shoes.  I stitched the lace onto the horizontal panel of K & Company’s Jubilee patterned paper.  After adding some Rhinestone Brads, Paper Piercing, Distressing, and tons of Dimensionals the card was complete.

That’s it for me today!  Be sure to head over to the ATS Wednesdays Challenge Blog to play along with us!  Every week there is a new and exciting prize being offered…but in order to be eligible to win, your card must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Whether it is one of our wonderful in-house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Then be sure to link up your creation with Mr Linky by next Tuesday at 10pm EST with only one entry per person please!

Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you in just a few with a TGF “Sweet September” Blog Hop!  Until then…

...Flutter By Fairy

This is my submission for this week's challenge at the Flutter By Wednesdays Blog (FBW101). Danni has challenged us to use either shamrocks or the color green in our creations this week, so I used one of the images and sentiments from the There She Goes' set "Fairy Good Day". The image was stamped in black, and colored with Copic Sketch Markers. I paired the colorful image with some patterned papers from the Pretty Please paper pack by My Mind's Eye...I love the colors in this patterned paper! The focal and floral panels were attached to the card base using Dimensionals to complete the card.

...Flutter By Tooth Fairy

Happy Hump Day, everyone! It's been a crazy-busy week here at the Kerin hacienda! I've been trying to get a jump on all of my DT work and some challenges for the rest of the month before we get busy with yet another sport...this time it's track. My oldest tried out for the team on a whim, and wound up making it! Not only did he make it, but they are wanting him to compete in 5+ events...I don't know whether to be proud of him or exhausted for him! LOL! The season kicks up next week, so my evening stamping will be hindered for two or three nights a week now.

In the rush of cardmaking, I went ahead and created this card below...

This is for the 100th challenge at the Flutter By Wednesdays Blog (FBW100). Danni and her design team has done such a wonderful job bringing gorgeous samples and challenges for almost two years...hard to believe! I recently found them through my friend, Pam Varnell, and I have been a faithful participant ever since. This week I used a free digital image that I got quite a while back from Bugaboo Stamps called "Tooth Fairy", along with a sentiment from There She Goes' set "Fairy Good Day". The image was colored with Copic Sketch Markers, then the focal was cut out using a Square Nesties Die and my Big Shot. I paired the colorful image with some patterned papers from SU's Tea Party Designer Series Paper line, then added some piercing and stitching to those panels. Simple accessories like a piece of Gray Grosgrain Ribbon, a Pink Button, and some Linen Thread were added to complete the card.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and I will see you back here tomorrow with a new weekly concept...Verve Day Thursdays! I can't wait to show off some more samples using the March Verve Stamp Release, so until then...

Papers: Almost Amethyst, Basic Gray, PTI White, Tea Party DSP (SU)

...Freaky Flutter By Wednesday

This is my submission for today's Flutter By Wednesday challenge...create a card inspired by the Tinkerbell picture above. I love the purples, blues, and greens in the picture...I still can't get over how gorgeous this illustration is! LOL! I used the new Freaky Flutter Creepy Cake digital image from The Greeting Farm. She was printed in black onto a piece of PTI White Cardstock, then pulled my color combo using the patterned papers from the Penny Lane collection by My Mind's Eye. I matted the panels with Taken With Teal Cardstock, then did a little sewing and piercing before coloring the image with some Copic Sketch Markers. The completed panels were attached to the Orchid Opulence Cardstock base using Dimensionals, then I added the simple embellishments; a Prima Flower, a Teal Button, and Linen Thread. You could also count the shape of the focal panel as an embellishment...I cut it out with one of Spellbinders' Curved Rectangle Nesties. So what do you think? I had such a fun time coloring and shading her. I swear...the more I color and play with the Copics the more I like them! LOL!

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by to see me, and I will see you all back here tomorrow with a Verve creation. Until then...

...Flutter By Ginger

Don't forget to check out the post HERE for a chance to win some BLOG CANDY!

This is my submission for the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge #98. I used another of Amy Young's images from C.C. Designs' Sweet November line called "Ginger". This is actually the digital image, so I'm not sure if the stamp is large or not...but I like them a bit larger in order to see the details of their faces. I drew a branch for her to sit on with a Black Copic Multiliner, then colored the images with Copic Sketch Markers. And what is a fairy without glitter on her wings? Ginger has a few streaks of Crystal Stickles on her gossamer wings to add a little sparkle. I wanted to keep the card as simple as possible, so I only added two pieces of patterned paper that coordinated with the precious image. The sentiment was from C.C. Designs' Spring Sugarplum Stamp Kit (and if you don't have this...you REALLY need to get it), and was simply stamped in black. A little stitching and four Silver Pearls completed the card.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you tomorrow with another project! Until then...

...Flutter By Wednesday #95

On my recent trip to All That Scraps, I found a proverbial gold mine in the Stampavie area! They have an artist by the name of Penny Johnson who creates some of the sweetest images you've ever seen! As soon as I saw her "Butterfly Bear" stamp I knew I wanted to use it for one of the Flutter By Wednesday Challenges, so I chose today's challenge. I stamped and embossed the image before watercoloring it with an Aquapainter and Ink Pad Refills. I used strips of patterned paper from the Pretty Please collection from My Mind's Eye, and kept the layout really simple. So...do you like it as much as I do?

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you back here tomorrow with another project. Until then...

...Flutter By Mojo

This is my submission for both the Mojo Monday Sketch #120 and Flutter By Wednesday Challenge #91. I used the butterfly and sentiment from the Verve Stamps set "Fluttering By" with some of my new BasicGrey Origins patterned paper...LOVE IT!!! I pierced the edges of the large background panel using a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, then created the bottom scalloped piece using a Martha Stewart Border Punch. The circular focal panel was created using my Big Shot and Classic Circle Nesties, and the sentiment was punched out with the Word Window Punch. I added some Clear Rhinestones to complete the card.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you tomorrow with another card, and another EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT! Until then...

...Flutter By Wednesday #88 ~ Sketch

This is my submission for today's Flutter By Wednesday Challenge #88...a sketch designed by ME!!! Danni contacted me a while back to be one of her guest designers, and asked if I would be willing to design a layout for one of her challenges this month as well. I was more than happy to accept her invitation! I hope you enjoy the layout of this sketch...get out that patterned paper and have fun!

I decided to use my Heidi Swiss Pixie image from C.C. Designs along with some Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper. She was watercolor {of course}, then popped off of the sponged focal panel using Dimensionals. I created the sentiment panel by stamping one of the phrases from Verve's Fairy Tales set, then punching it out with a Circle Punch. I also punched a larger circle mat and a small heart to complete the panel. The edges of the large background panel and the focal panel were pierced using a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer. A piece of Ribbon and a few Rhinestones complete the card.

That's it for me today! I have a few projects that I have to complete for this weekend and next week, so I had best get started! LOL! Head on over to Danni's Blog, and participate in this week's Flutter By Challenge...remember to use a butterfly, fairy, or angel on your creation! Until later...

...Flutter By Wednesday #87

This is my submission for today's Flutter By Wednesday challenge. I used the butterfly image from C.C. Designs' set "Bugga-Boos".. She was stamped in black and watercolored using an Aquapainter and Ink Pads [Watercoloring Tutorial Tomorrow!!!]. The sentiment was from Verve's set "Thankful Hearts", and was stamped in black before being punched out with the Large Oval Punch. A scrap piece of amethyst cardstock was punched out using the Scallop Oval punch, then used as the mat on the sentiment panel. The focal panel was cut out with a Spellbinders' Nestabilities Die with the wings "outside the box". My dear friend, Pam, has a wonderful tutorial HERE. The bottom of the card base was punched with the Fiskars Apron Lace Border Punch. The edges of the Tea Party Designer Series Paper were pierced with a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, and a piece of Celery Ribbon was added to complete the card.

...Flutter By Wednesday Guest Designer Spot

Happy Wednesday, everyone! I was approached a couple of weeks ago by Danni Bindel about being her FBW Guest Designer for the first week of December, and I jumped at the opportunity! The only requirement for the FBW challenge was to make a card that showcased a fairy, butterfly, or angel...and once I saw the new December releases for The Greeting Farm, I knew which image I would be using as well! This is "Reading Fairy" from the amazingly talented Elizabeth Dulemba for The Greeting Farm. The image was stamped and embossed on watercolor paper, then colored with an Aquapainter and ink refills. The sentiment from Verve's set "Fairy Tales" was stamped on Blush Blossom Cardstock, then punched out using the Large Oval Punch. I also matted the sentiment panel with some Soft Suede Cardstock punched with the Scallop Oval Punch. The patterned papers were from the Bailey 12X12 Paper Pad from K & Company...aren't they spectacular?!? I embellished with some Soft Suede ribbon, sponged flowers, and brads.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you back here tomorrow with another creation! Now head on over to the Flutter By Wednesday challenge, and join in the fun! Until later...
