…Crazy 4 My Sketch & A Farewell (C4C43)

card_1384

C4C43_Sketch By Mercy

Happy Saturday, everyone!  It’s “crazy” time again at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog, and this week will be my last as a C4C design team member.  With summer already in full swing, it is getting harder and harder to maintain the required number of posts that I have to do each week.  I will still be posting on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays…but there will be fewer posts altogether.  I am trying to make time for my family, and still showcase some of the other DT cards that I’ve created, so I’m hoping this will make it easier on me and more fun for you all.  So as my final challenge, I am providing a sketch for you all to play around with.  I used one of the Wild Sprouts from The Greeting Farm called “WS-Eric”.  I stamped the image and sentiment in Black Ink, then colored him with some Copic Sketch Markers.  I paired the images with some patterned papers from Cosmo Cricket’s Lil’ Man paper pad.  I added a sentiment from the “Talk Loud” set, and attached a button embellishment to the sentiment panel.  After adding some Paper Piercing and Ribbon the card was completed.

Let's see what the rest of the Crazies have created with this week's sketch:

That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by to see me, and now it's your turn to create a card or project using MY SKETCH to share with us. Be sure to add your creation to Mister Linky back at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog post...we can't wait to see what you come up with! See you back here tomorrow with another Fave Five picks from this week’s MTSC! Until then...

…Crazy 4 Paper Flowers (C4C42)

card_1375

Happy Saturday, everyone!  It’s “crazy” time again at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog, and this week we have a Paper Flower Challenge!  I have an affinity for paper flowers…whether they come premade or if I make them myself.  I wanted to make a “girly” card for this challenge, so I used some of the images from There She Goes’ set called “Fairy Good Day”.  I stamped the image and sentiment in Black Ink, then colored the fairy with some Copic Sketch Markers.  I paired the images with some patterned papers from October Afternoon’s Report Card paper pad.  My paper flowers are actually diecuts, and I added a Red Button with some Twine to the center of the stacked blooms.  After adding some Distressing, Paper Piercing, Rhinestones, and Stitching the card was completed.

Let's see what the rest of the Crazies have created with this week's sketch:

Happy Saturday! It's time to get "crazy" again with the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog, and we have another great challenge....PLEATS!  It’s my turn to come up with challenges for the month, and you all know how much I love me some pleats…whether it’s pleated ribbon or paper.  I used the image from My Favorite ThingsPure Innocence line called “4-Leaf Clover”.  I stamped her in Black Ink onto a piece of PTI White Cardstock, then colored her with Copics Sketch Markers.  I paired the image with some patterned papers from BasicGrey's Origins collection, and stitched the pleated strips directly to the Kraft Cardstock background.  After adding some Rhinestones, Ribbon, and Paper Piercing the card was completed.

...Crazy 4 Pockets (C4C37)

Happy Saturday! It's time to get "crazy" again with the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog, and Frances Byrne is issuing this week's wonderful challenge....A Pocket Card (Any Kind)!  I used The Stamping Boutique's "The Magic of Pretend", and colored the image with Copics Sketch Markers.  I paired the image with some patterned papers from the Pretty Please collection by My Mind's Eye.  Believe it or not...I actually used a technique called Cracked Glass on the focal panel!  I was so worried about the Copic Ink reacting badly doing the technique...but it turned out beautifully!  It kind of looks antiqued...I LOVE IT!  I created a simple pocket on the inside by stitching some leftover patterned paper directly to the card base.  Since the little girl is having a tea party in the image, I figured this would make a special tea party invitation.  What do you think?  After adding some Stitching, a Border Punch, Brads, and some Paper Piercing the card was completed.
