...Tropical Verve Day Thursday

It's Thursday, and that means it's also "VERVE" Day!!! Along with my love for Verve comes a love for sketches, and what better sketch to use but one of my I used this week's MTSC73 for my layout.I was dreaming last night of lying on a white sandy beach with a sweet little umbrella drink in hand...what a wonderful world that would be!  Unfortunately, the beach is not in my future...but I can create a tropical mood with the new Beach Party Collection!  I chose to use a couple of sets for this card..."Relax" and "Dude".  I stamped the tree in Black Ink onto a piece of PTI White Cardstock, then colored the image with Copic Sketch Markers.  I stamped the first part of the sentiment directly onto the White Cardstock panel in Rich Cocoa Ink, then stamped the "dude" in  Pumpkin Pie Ink on a scrap piece of White Cardstock.  Like a crazy woman, I cut out the individual letters in "dude", then attached each letter to the circle panel using Dimensionals. I paired the focal panel with a piece of patterned paper from We R Memory Keepers (I purchased it as a single sheet, and I can't remember which collection it was from...DOH!). The focal panel was cut out using the Spellbinders' Classic Circle Nesties and my Big Shot before I added some Chocolate Rhinestones under the completed sentiment.  Some Paper Piercing, a piece of Chocolate Chip Ribbon, and some some dry embossing with a Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder complete the card.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you again tomorrow with another Farm Fresh Friday Challenge! Until then...
