...Viva La Florals

I promised a card today, so here it is! Have you ever had a day where absolutely nothing went right? That was my luck today! LOL! I started this card early this morning, and have walked away from it at least 10 times in an attempt to find more mojo...but it never came! I am not a fan of this card at all, but it is what it is. I loved the sketch from the this week's Viva La Verve Challenge at the Verve Forum...Amber always designs amazing sketches to work with, and she's including inspiration pieces this year to really get us going. I used the flowers from Verve's "Floral Symphony" and the sentiment from "Fairy Tales". I used Summer Sun and Always Artichoke Cardstock along with some new papers from the Ooh La La For Him paper pack by My Mind's Eye. I kept the embellishments simple with Ribbon, Pearls, and Stickles. Some piercing around the edges of the focal and floral panels completed the card.
That's it for me! I promised a card today, and I delivered...it's late, but still today! LOL! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you all back here tomorrow with a card for the Mojo Sketch Challenge. Until then...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.. and I think this is stunning. Aren't we always much too hard on ourselves? I know what you mean about walking away from a project. I wish I did that more often to take that deep breathe. But I really like this! Hugs, Peggy

Holy crow, Mercy! If this is your mojo-less card, then I wish I had your 'no mojo'! As has been said about eye of the beholder....I love it! Your creativity never ceases to amaze me!

As soon as I saw this card Mercy I wanted to tell you how beautiful I thought it was. Then I read your post and saw that you're not crazy about it...really??? I love how you used yellow. Yellow is one of those bright beautiful colours that I like to look at but I'm always scared to work with it! I like how the grey tonnes it down and your use of pearls. Beautiful, Beautiful.

In my humble opinion, it's a work of art... and very striking art at that! Great sketch as "fleshed out" by a clever artist.
