...Mojo #77

I am blown away again! I was one of the Mojo Madness Winners for last week's sketch card seen at the bottom of THIS post. I just CANNOT believe it! I was chosen as one of the winners from 441 fabulous entries..thanks, Julee! Can my week get any better? It's only Tuesday! LOL!

On to the Mojo Monday Sketch #77 submission. For this card I wanted clean and simple lines, so I channeled my inner "Julie Lacey" {wink wink, Julie!}. I started with a Basic Black Cardstock base, then matted all the additional layers with it also. The large Whisper White Cardstock panel was pierced around the edges using a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer... shocker, I know! The black and green patterned paper was from the Urban Oasis Designer Series Paper pack, and the green panel was from the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog paper pack called Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper. The edges of the green panel were pierced also, and Silver Brads were added to the other panel. Each brad with Basic Black Cardstock (1/4" Circle Punch) and Kiwi Kiss Cardstock (3/8" Circle Punch).

The focal panel was created using Classic Circle Nestabilities and the Big Shot. I stamped the branch (from the Level One Hostess Set "God's Beauty") on the white cardstock circle in Basic Black Craft Ink, then embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Gun. I stamped the same image again onto a piece of Watercolor Paper, then colored each leaf with an Aquapainter and Kiwi Kiss Classic Ink Pad and Refill. Once they were dry, I cut out each leaf with my CutterBee Scissors, and attached them on top of the ones on the white circle panel with Dimensionals. I colored in each leaf with a Gold Sakura Glaze Pen to add a little sparkle. The sentiment was from the upcoming set "Great Friend" {I LOVE the font used in this stamp set}, and was also stamped in Basic Black Craft Ink, then embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Gun. I used a Cool Gray Number One (C1) Copic Sketch Marker to add some shadow around the branch and sentiment. Each layer was attached to the other using Dimensionals in order to complete the card.

That's it for today! I am still working on another sketch card from the weekend, and the SCS Sketch Challenge will post later tonight...so I will be busy again tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you all later. Until then...
