Holey Moley, you guys! I got the shock of my life last night as I was doing daily/nightly blog hopping. I jumped over to Kristina Werner's Blog, and saw that my submission for her Color Inspiration #44 had made her CI44 Top Ten Round Up!!!! I am on Cloud Nine, people! So much so, that I can't even go to sleep! So here I am...sharing a card I've made in these wee hours of the morning. I hope you like it!
This was my submission for Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try from Saturday, and it is also a sneak peek of a set that you will be able to purchase from the upcoming Stampin' Up Occasions Mini Catalog. I started with a Pumpkin Pie Cardstock base, then matted the additional layers with a combination of Bashful Blue Cardstock and/or Pumpkin Pie Cardstock. All of the patterned papers were from the Washington Apple Designer Series Paper pack. I used some simple embellishments for this one, though...a piece of 5/8" Riding Hood Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, a Clear Button, and a So Saffron Button from the Rich Regal Button collection. The edges of the red striped panel and the focal panel were pierced using a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer.
The duck and sentiment {"lucky duck"} were from a set called "Wagon Full of Fun". They were stamped in Basic Black Craft Ink, then embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Gun. I colored the cute quacker with an Aquapainter and the following: Bashful Blue Classic Ink Pad, Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink Pad, and Riding Hood Red Classic Ink Pad. I used a Sponge Dauber and the Kiwi Kiss Classic Ink Pad to create the little patch of grass on the Whisper White Cardstock focal panel. I cut out the duck using CutterBee Scissors, then attached him to the focal panel with Dimensionals. Each layer was popped up off of the other using Dimensionals also.
That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you all tomorrow with cards for Julee Tilman's Mojo Monday Sketch #77, and Lauren Meader's My Time Saturday Sketch. Until then...
