...My MTSC27 Sample

This is my sample for today's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #27. I started with a Whisper White Cardstock base, then matted each additional layer with Basic Black Cardstock. The patterned papers were both from the Washington Apple Designer Series Paper pack. The large striped panel was pierced using a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, then Silver Brads were added down the upper left side of the panel. I matted the brads with Basic Black Cardstock and Bashful Blue Cardstock that had been punched out using the 1/2" Circle Punch and the 1/4" Circle Punch. The sentiment was from the set "Holidays & Wishes", and it was stamped in Basic Black Craft Ink, then embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Gun. A scrap piece of black cardstock was punched with the Scallop Edge Punch to create the scallop under the checked panel. A piece of 5/8" Riding Hood Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon was added around the panel also.
The mailbox and hearts are all from the set "Love Owl-ways", and they were stamped in Basic Black Craft Ink onto Watercolor Paper, then embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Gun. They were colored using an Aquapainter and the following Classic Ink Pads: Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, and Riding Hood Red. The black scalloped oval was created using the 3/16" Corner Rounder, and the white oval was pierced using the Mat Pack and Paper Piercer. I added some Candy Can e Stickles to the hearts to make them *sparkle*, then attached them to the focal panel using Dimensionals.
That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you all tomorrow! Don't forget to play along with the sketch, then leave a link to your creation so we can check it out. Until later...

Mercy, that's really cute! I never thought of the WA apple DSP for Valentines, but it soooo works! I'll try to make something with the sketch later today, that is, if my boys let me!
