...From Our House To Yours

DON'T FORGET TO ENTER TO WIN $30 FREE STAMPIN' UP MERCHANDISE HERE

Alright...now is this one handsome card, or what? I worked on this silly thing all day yesterday. I changed colors, layouts, designer papers....everything at least three times! But I definitely love how the end result turned out. This is another of the new Verve Visual releases called "Poinsettia Christmas". I am so in love with these new designs, and I can't wait to get the rest inked!

I started (on the final try) with an Always Artichoke Cardstock base, and matted each of the top layers with the same. All of the corners of each layer, excluding the card base, were rounded using the 3/16" Corner Rounder Punch. The large light brown layer was Kraft Cardstock, and the edges were pierced using a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer. The panel was attached to the base using Dimensionals. The green patterned paper panel consisted of a piece of Brocade Background Designer Series Paper (retired SU). Three Antique Brass Jumbo Eyelets were added across the bottom using a Crop-a-Dile. This panel was also attached to the base with Dimesionals. The focal panel was Whisper White Cardstock that was stamped with the sentiment in Always Artichoke Craft Ink, then embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Gun. A small piece of Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon was added to the side of the panel with SNAIL Adhesive before it was attached to the card using Dimensionals again. The solid poinsettias were stamped three times on a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock in Riding Hood Red Classic Ink. Then the outline of each flower was stamped in VersaMark Ink, and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and a Heat Gun. I used Crystal Stickles to add some shimmer to each lovely petal, then used a White Signo Uniball Gel Pen to make the centers stand out a bit more. The completed poinsettias were cut out using CutterBee Scissors, then they were popped up off of the focal panel using Dimensionals...can you tell that I love those things? LOL!

That is it for today as far as creations are concerned, but I will be coming back later tonight to announce the winner of the $30 Free Stampin' Up Merchandise! As I said yesterday, my guys are taking out to my favorite restuarant to eat, then we are going to a movie of my choice for my birthday....I wonder what that will be? TWILIGHT....DUH! LOL! Thanks for stopping by again today, and I will see you all later. Until then...
