Lord Have Mercy!: ...Inspiration Challenge 155

This is my submission for today's Inspiration Challenge at SCS. We were to create a card that reflected the fashion from AMC's series "Mad Men". I wanted to use the Female Fashion line, so I chose THIS one. I loved the greens, reds, and pinks in the party dress.

I started with a Chocolate Chip Cardstock base, and built each layer up with Riding Hood Red Cardstock and Old Olive Cardstock mats. The green designer paper was from the Holiday Treasures Designer Series Paper pack, and the red and pink plaid paper was from the Bella Rose Designer Series Paper pack. The pink panel on the top left side was made by stamping the "Canvas" background stamp onto a piece of Pink Pirouette Cardstock in Pink Pirouette Classic Ink. The focal panel was stamped with several sets: "Merry" (the sentiment, retired set), "Wow Flowers" (the large snowflakes), "Short & Sweet" (the small snowflakes). I used the following ink pad colors to create the snowflake panel on Whisper White Cardstock: Riding Hood Red Classic Ink, Old Olive Classic Ink, Chocolate Chip Classic Ink, and Pink Pirouette Classic Ink. I also used Chocolate Chip Craft Ink on the sentiment, then embossed it using Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Gun. A piece of 5/8" Riding Hood Striped Grosgrain Ribbon was added to complete the card.
