...A Fun-Filled Saturday

***DON'T FORGET TO ENTER TO WIN THE BLOG CANDY OFFERED HERE***

I got the opportunity to spend this past Saturday with Pam Varnell (stampingpam on SCS), Janet Beahm, and Barbara Varnell at Pam's home for a day of stamping and goofin' off. We stamped, fellowshipped, laughed, shared new techniques, made fun of others....you know, things normal people do when in a group! LOL! Thanks so much for a wonderful time, ladies! I can't wait to do it again! Janet...remember to "pop it", 'cause I'm all out of lollipops! LOL!

This is one of the cards I made while in the company of the Stamping Addict and friends. I started with a Pretty In Pink Cardstock base (11 X 4-1/4) that opens at the bottom. The striped panel was made of Chocolate Chip Cardstock (4-1/4 X 3/4) and designer paper from BasicGrey's Blush 6X6 Paper Pad (4-1/4 X 1-1/4). The bottom of the chocolate piece was punched with the 3/16" Corner Rounder to create the scallops. The layers were attached to each other and card base using SNAIL Adhesive. Chocolate Chip 5/8" Satin Ribbon was added to the top of the striped panel, and finished in a knot.

The focal image consisted of Chocolate Chip Cardstock (3-3/4 X 2-5/8), Rose Red Cardstock (3-5/8 X 2-1/2), and Watercolor Paper (3-1/2 X 2-3/8). The image, from the set "Summer By The Sea", was stamped in Jet Black Staz-on Ink. I used an Aquapainter and the following Stampin' Write Markers to watercolor the image: Rose Red, Mellow Moss, Close to Cocoa, Blush Blossom, Really Rust, and Lavender Lace. Once the paper had dried, the layers were attached to each other using SNAIL Adhesive, and the completed panel was attached to the card base using Dimensionals.

That's it for today, but I will see you back here with tomorrow with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #12. Until then......

That is GORGEOUS! Everyone is buying Copics. I say, do it cheaper with your Stampin' Up markers. You showed it can be done!
