...Sketch Challenge #161 ~ For You

  • This is my submission for today's Sketch Challenge at SCS. I used a card base of Pumpkin Pie cardstock measuring 6-3/4" X 3-1/2" when folded. The striped panel is made up of Brilliant Blue cardstock (5-3/4" X 2-1/2") and Jersey Shore Designer Series Paper (5-5/8" X 2-3/8"). The sentiment strip consists of Brilliant Blue cardstock (6-3/4" X 7/8"), Wild Wasabi cardstock (6-3/4" X 3/4"), and Whisper White cardstock (6-5/8" X 5/8").

  • The medallion is made of the same colors of cardstock and designer paper, and it was made using the following Stampin' Up punches: Round Tab Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 5-Petal Flower Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Snow Blossom Punch, and the Boho Blossoms Punch. The blue circle in the back was created using the Coluzzle Cutting System and the Circle Template, then each layer was attached alternating SNAIL Adhesive and Dimensionals on every other layer. An Orange Rhinestone Brad was added to the center of the medallion using a Paper Piercer to make the hole in the center. Then the medallion was attached to the card base with Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the set "One of a Kind", and was stamped in Brilliant Blue Classic Ink. I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig and an Image Sheet to center the sentiment on the white cardstock before stamping it.

  • That's it for today....simple, simple, simple! Join me tomorrow for the Ways To Use It Challenge. Until then...Hugs ~ Mercy

Absolutely beautiful!! I love the colors (have this DP on my wish list) and the complexity of the flower against the simplicity of the striped DP. Thanks for sharing your card and the punch recipe for making that spectacular flower!
