What great blog candy! Hmmm...who has inspired me...that's a tough one. I think I'd have to say Julee @ Poetic Artistry. She always has that little extra something to make her projects awesome, and I love that.

I would have to say there is a long list of people who have been inspirational to me, but I think the cumulative artistic ability that exudes out of Splitcoast Stamper would be my choice. Your blog was a new find for me and you happen to be number 1 on my task bar!

There are so many great stampers who blog that have inspired me, but the one person who got me started and keeps me going is my SU demo. She taught me the very basics of card design and is always encouraging and supportive of my efforts. Her name is Lynne Higerd and she is awesome!!

Wonderful blog candy. I don't really get my source of inspiration from just one place. I get a lot of it from SCS. I also get alot of it from other bloggers. It's amazing all the talent we have out there! Thanks for sharing this with us and Congratulations! -Samantha

You are probably going to think I am weird but there isn't any one person that has been a major inspiration creatively. I enjoy lots of people's work (which is evident by my large blog reader list!) and you'll see that influence come through sometimes.

Fun blog and great candy! Thanks for offering!

Colleen said...

Congrats on the success of your blog!

I would say it's been Ali Edwards and her attitude of "embracing imperfection" that has inspired me. I'm able to just play a bit more and let go of some of the perfectionism I was striving for in my cards/layouts!

What wonderful blog candy too by the way!

Cathy M said...

Congrat on 10K! Pick ME...I love this sweet candy you are sharing with your readers. I just love your blog. My inspiration comes from SCS and blogland! It amazes me how everyone finds time to do reality stuff, stamp creative and talented artwork, and then have the time post their artwork and remember all the supplies they used. So my answer is HATS OF TO YOU ALL!
Thanks for a chance.

Hi Mercy! I recently found your blog and I love it!

My inspiration truly comes from God and His wonderful creations. When I drive and see the beautiful autumn colors or the majesty of His mountains I get inspired to be creative!

Inspiration for me comes from everywhere. I blog hop, I flip through CK magazines, and now I work at a LSS and see everyone come through with their own ideas! Sometimes, I just see something in my mind and go from there! I love your blog though! You have great ideas and great color use! Keep inspiring me!!!

Congrats on 10K !! There are many people who inspire me - I'm newish to stamping so still trying to find "my style"... I do love vintage to modern -- anything that captures my interest. One person who really inspires me is Trudee http://trudee.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/
She has amazing talent and has an eye for design and color. She changes it up too - she doesn't have one style. But she's dangerous - she's an enabler!!

There have been many who have inspired me over the years and taught me such a lot. I would echo others in saying that SCS is an encyclopedia of craft inspriation, but also the many blogs I've found on my crafty journey. Thank you every one!

I have several people who inspire me including the ladies at Jane's and the fellow stampers at Stacey's-they never tell you anything is stupid. But sometimes you need to be told something looks bad-so that is my Niece Kayla. She is 10 and will tell me to change or add a bit here and there. and all the really screwy ones-she gets to keep.

My biggest inspiration comes from Debbie Olson. her blog is fabulous and she is an all around great person. She has inspired me to buy (and use!) so many things from paper to tools. Her work is clean and lovely.

Anonymous said...

My creativity is inspired by Laurie Schmidlin and her site "Just give me stamps". I go to her site several times a day because the emails that are sent out letting you know of new uploads are several hours and sometimes a day behind her actual post. So, I visit the site frequently to view any new posts. Her style so closely matches mine and what is dear to my "eye" in design that I love to see her new and fresh work. Also, I admire her confidence and that she is able to post her designs online without hesitation. Even though I like my work most of the time, my fear is that others won't like it. She is a great inspiration to many!

I really get my inspiration from so many people. But I have to say, that I often see things when I'm out that inspire me. I just picked up a napkin from a coffee place because I love the colors. I'm going to try it out today for my Christmas cards.

My friend Lynn got me started! She makes beautiful cards to sell at craft fairs. After one of my surgeries I called her to buy some Thank You cards to send to everyone that sent me flowers & gifts. She refused to sell me any, saying she was going to teach me how to make my own. She taught me all of her techniques and let me use all of her supplies. I love paper crafts so much, that she was truly sent to me as a gift from God to help me get thru a difficult time:) Now most of my inspiration comes from blogs and SCS.

ooh! This is a tough one! There is so much incredible talent out there that has inspired me. But I'd have to say my friend Amie (who is an amazing scrapper) was really the one to inspire me to get going. Literally, she's laid on the pressure to get me into gear, get me out to crops and get scrappin'. I'd probably never have taken that time away from my family for myself if it wasn't for her.

Your cards are so elegant. The orange and blue is absolutely stunning! I just love your style.
You asked who inspires us creatively. For me it is each person that I create for. I love to give and create hand made gifts. I give gifts for my birthday rather than receive them. (Which is actually Friday btw! LOL) I have created a Christmas card for my SU group. And I am creating ornaments for my Bible Study group. I think of the receiver and what would bring them joy. So each recipient of my creativity is my inspiration for every creation I make.

My greatest source of inspiration is my husband. He tells me I can do anything I want to do. He loves everything I create and makes a big deal out of them. He loves my cards and even helps me with my layouts and designs. If he thinks a card needs something more he tells me what and where to improve my cards. He sends me to the big city twice a year to shop the big scrapbook stores. I have nothing close to home. He tells me to enjoy myself and get what I want. He has made my life a joy for 32 years and he still inspires me to do great things.

Wow...what fun candy. I need some fun to arrive in my mail box!

I am inspired by those stampers who cheer others on...always looking for what is good about a card/project. It might just be a color combo or cute image. But it's nice to be noticed!
