...Today's Color Challenge #138

This is my submission for today's color challenge: Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, and Real Red. I used Canvas stamped in saffron onto the saffron background panel. Then I took the stitched row stamp from All in a Row, and stamped the edges in Chocolate Chip. The butterfly panel was made with the small flourish and butterflies from Priceless. The flourish is stamped in saffron, the butterflies are stamped in red and turquoise onto Whisper White paper. I also stamped them again onto a scrap piece of white, cut them out,and adhered one side of the wings to the previously stamped butterflies. This gives the appearance that they are flying off the panel...love it! The final touch to the butterflies was a little bit of Ice Stickles. I used Crystal Ice on the red one, and Arctic Ice on the turquoise one to give them some *sparkle*. The slot in the white paper for the ribbons was achieved by using my hobby blade. I cut a small rectangle just large enough for the two colors of 1/4-inch SU! ribbon. I then cut the two pieces of ribbon (red and turquoise) and put them through the slot securing them with saffron brads. I used my paper piercer to make holes in the ribbons and stuck the brads through without even snagging them. I matted the white panel onto turquoise, then saffron, then finally red. The entire panel is lifted with dimensionals. The sentiment is from the All Holidays set. It is stamped in Staz-on black onto white paper, then mounted onto red. This panel is also lifted with dimensionals.

I have several calls to make, a shower to take, and lunch to get to.......so I will be seeing you all later! Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Hugs ~ Mercy
