...{And The Winner Is...}

...THE QUEEN OF SCRAPS! Please email me so I can send you a list of BasicGrey 6X6 pads. The choice is yours! You get four (4) of them! WooHoo! I will ship them out at the beginning of the week for you. I wanted to thank everyone for leaving such kind and encouraging comments. It means so much to know that others enjoy seeing what you enjoy doing. I am so blessed to have wonderful and faithful readers, and I am so excited to hear from new ones...you all know how to make a girl feel good! Be keeping an eye out, because every 5, 000 hits is worth celebrating...and I plan on doing just that! As the counter approaches 10, 000 there will be more goodies heading your way! I can't thank you all enough for making my first blog candy giveaway such an awesome adventure. I have enjoyed sharing creations, photos, and ramblings with you...and I hope you will continue to come back and visit. Thanks again!

Hey! Have you noticed anything in the corner of any of my latest photos? It's my latest attempt at designing another watermark. I really liked the look of the watermark for my cards, and I wanted some consistency between it and the one for my photography...so this was the final product. What do you think? How does it look on the photos? Is it elegant enough, or too elegant? Should it be larger or smaller on the photos? Am I full of questions or what? Seriously...I would like your opinion, but please be nice! LOL! I want to get into Photoshop and tinker around for a couple of days, but it isn't looking good with my schedule for the next two weeks! I have to have all of my craft show stuff done before the big day on Saturday the 22nd. The next weekend (the 29th) I have an all day "scrampin" session. Scrapbooking AND stamping...I'm tired just thinking about it! This Tuesday I have a Stampin' Up make-up class, and Thursday is football night (an away game, of course). Can we vote on having an eighth day of the week? Wouldn't that make things a bit easier? Who do I need to talk to about that?

Enough of that! I have one more sneak peak for you all before I go. This is my Bronc Buster stationery box. I found an unfinished wooden box at A.C. Moore, and I automatically thought of a stationery set. I painted the entire box dark brown (inside and outside), then I started on the lid of the box. I stamped Paisley onto Chocolate Chip cardstock, then I embossed it with Sage embossing powder. I cut the large panel into four equal panels, and corner-rounded the outside edges. The focal image is embossed in Dark Brown on Creamy Caramel cardstock. I aged the caramel by wadding it up, tearing the bottom edge, and sponging around all the sides with Chocolate Chip ink. The caramel was then mounted onto Sage Shadow cardstock, and the sage is mounted onto Chocolate Chip cardstock. The base of the box is embossed all the way around using the Sage powder again. It needed a little more, so I made my own embellishments using the 3/4 inch circle punch, the 1/2 inch circle punch, and a brad...

>>>>>>>>>>>{Here is a closer look...}

The box is completed by adding ten pieces of stamped stationery with matching envelopes. This project took a little longer to finish than I would have liked due to a serious lack of mojo. I had a vision in my head of how I wanted it to look, but I couldn't translate it physically. I had several moments of "crafter's block", and two or three minor strokes while trying to figure out what I was going to do! But it never fails...once I think that I will never get it done the ideas come rushing in. Luckily, it happened with this crazy box, too! Now that I look back on it, I'm glad it took so long to finish. If I had finished earlier I wouldn't have liked it. But now I love it! I hope someone else will love it enough to buy it, too.

OMG! It's tired and I'm late! LOL! So I am off to bed...lots of work tomorrow (or later today-whateva!). I'll see you guys later!

Hugs ~ Mercy

The box is beautiful and with stationary inside? Great project! I really like your watermark. It looks very contemporary with a little touch of elegance, plus its not overwhelming and blocking the view of what you're trying to show. (love how the tail of "y" wraps around the center of the "m")You truly have an artist's eye.
