...Monochromatic Snowflake

Today's challenge was to create a monochromatic card without using embellishments. I made this card yesterday, so when I saw the challenge this morning I knew it would be perfect for it! It was inspired by Jen del Muro (genie1314). I used markers to ink up Print Pattern for the background. Then I used creamy caramel ink on the largest flake in The Snowflake Spot for the main image. The dark brown on the snowflake was embossed in brown using the VersaMark pen, then I dabbed ice stickles on them for some *sparkle*. The "be merry" is from the Warm Words set, and it is also embossed with dark brown. The focal image and the background are sponged with caramel also to dirty-it-up a little. The ribbons were added because it was a little plain without them.

I probably won't be making too many cards this weekend, but I plan on getting back into the swing of things first thing Monday morning. I have several other cards that I have created this past week, so I will probably be uploading them over the weekend instead of creating new ones each day. I have alot of running around and cleaning up to do today, so I am going to say "so long" and I'll see you all later!

...still waiting on Mr. Brown to deliver the goodies!

Hugs ~ Mercy

This is so rich looking!! I love the layering you did and the corners! I bet it is especially pretty IRL with the ice stickles.
