...A Taylored Sketch

Don't forget to enter to win some BLOG CANDY at THIS post...be sure to read the rules, too!

This is my submission for the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #85 from Friday. I used one of the new digital images created by Marina Neira for The Greeting Farm release for this month. This precious image is called Harvest, and I simply adore it! I am such a huge fan of this talented artist, and of all of her new digital images...they are phenomenal {and fun to color, too}! I colored these sweet monkeys with Copic Sketch Markers, then paired the image with some matching cardstock and designer paper. The sentiment was from a TGF set called Rock The Farm, and was stamped in Chocolate Chip Ink onto Kiwi Kiss Cardstock. Three Orange Rhinestone Brads were added to the sentiment panel, and I pierced three of the edges of the focal panel with a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer. I love the clean and simple lines of this card, and it only took me about twenty minutes to make...including coloring! You've gotta love those! LOL!

That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by to see me, and I will see you again tomorrow for another installment of Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge! My guys are on Fall Break this week, so I will be playing the role of "Taxi Mom" for the majority of the time. We have orthodontist appointments, dermatology appointments, football practices, and assorted other errands...so this will be no break for Momma! LOL! I hope to have time to work on several cards/projects this week since the boys will be home to help me with the pup. Speaking of the pup, I will be posting some pics of her a little later. Until then...

...Taylored Sketch

This is my submission for this past Friday's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #80. I used one of the sentiments from Verve's new set Bountiful Backgrounds, along with some patterned paper from the Nouveau Chic Designer Series Paper pack. The sentiment was stamped and embossed on a piece of Vellum, cut out with a Spellbinders' Classic Circle Nestie, then stitched to a circle-cut piece of pattern paper from the same designer paper pack. Some sage-like Grosgrain Ribbon and three Silver Nail Heads were added to finish of the card.

I also have some other news to share with you today. There is a new challenge blog called Crazy 4 Challenges, and I have been asked to join their design team! The site officially opened today, and our first challenge will be posted this Saturday, September 5th. We hope you can come by and join us each week! Here are the other wonderfully talented DT members that will share their creations with you weekly:
That's it for today! I haven't gotten a chance to work on the Mojo Monday Sketch for today, so I will attack it tomorrow along with the Color Challenge that will be posted at SCS. Thanks for stopping by to see me, and I will see you back here tomorrow with another Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge...come join in the fun! Until then...
