…MTSC101 Meets SCRSC20

Happy Sketch Day, everyone!  I can’t believe that’s it already time for Thanksgiving, and that Christmas is only a month away!  It’s still getting up into the 70’s here in north Georgia, so it hasn’t quite hit me that it’s fall…NOT that I’m complaining! :)  This is always a crazy time of year (until the beginning of the New Year), but I will ALWAYS have time for some sketches.  Wanna see this week’s challenge?

…SCRS Release Day SFYTT

card_1520

SFYTT112010

It’s Release Day at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps using the other new release called “Café Lucy”, and  we’re also sponsoring Jen del Muro’s Sketch For You To Try!  Isn’t her sketch to die for?!?

I stamped Lucy in Black Ink, then colored her with Copic Sketch Markers.  I used some patterned papers from October Afternoon’s Report Card paper pad along with some Red, Kiwi, Blue, and White Cardstock.  I stamped a sentiment in White Ink onto the blue cardstock flag, then punched out two flowers to layer as an anchor point for the flag.  I zig-zag stitched around the smaller horizontal panels, then crooked stitched the large striped one.  The focal panel was cut out using the Spellbinders’ Classic Rectangle Nesties Die, and the edges of the large kiwi background panel were distressed using a Distressing Tool.  After adding a Silver Pearl to the flower center and several of Dimensionals the card was complete.

Now let’s see what the rest of the SCRS design team has in store:

Would you like a shot at winning this new image?  Simply leave a comment (one per person please) at each of the DT members’ blogs and SCRS Blog.  You have until MIDNIGHT EST tonight, and the winner will be announced tomorrow morning at the SCRS Blog.  You can also enter Jen’s SFYTT challenge for a chance to win “Rin with Snowman” AND “Holiday Emily”!

That’s it for me today!  Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you back here tomorrow with another Mercy’s Magnificent Musings!  Until then…

…SCRS November Preview ~ Day One

_josh_nov_preview

Today is the first day of sneak peeks for Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, and we're showcasing “Street Corner Josh”. The new stamps will be available to purchase on Saturday, November 13th.

I stamped the image in Black Ink, then colored him with Copic Sketch Markers.  I used some patterned papers from SU’s Play Date Designer Series Paper pack along with some Kraft, Chocolate, and Vanilla Cardstock.  I stamped a sentiment in White Ink, then punched out the arrow using the My Way Punch.  I pierced the horizontal panel using a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, then stitched around the red polka-dotted one.  The focal panel was cut out using the Spellbinders’ Long Classic Rectangle Nesties Die.  After adding some Silver Nail Heads and several of Dimensionals the card was complete.

…MTSC99 Meets SCRSC18

Happy Sketch Day!  I had such a fabulous weekend with my two favorite buddies in the world, and we got A LOT of stamping done!  I also enjoyed the extra hour of sleep that I got due to the time change…gotta LOVE falling back in the fall!  LOL!  That’s about it for the chit-chat…feel like tackling a sketch challenge?

Then take a gander at Tuesday’s Sketch Challenge #99:

…MTSC98 Meets SCRSC17

Hello, everyone!  This is the beginning of a new month, and it is time to welcome a new Guest Muse.  But before we get to that, I wanted to thank Heather Pulvirenti for being such a wonderful addition to the Muses last month.  Week after week she produced gorgeous and inspiring creations.  Thanks for all of your hard work and your friendship, Heather…we’ll miss you!

I also have a very exciting announcement to make as well!  I am November’s Guest Designer for Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps (SCRS), and I’ll be combining my weekly sketch challenges with SCRS’s challenges since they post at the same times…I can’t wait to show off their cute images!  Our challenge today was to use my sketch, so be sure to check out the SCRS Blog for the details and rules.

We said goodbye to last month’s Muse, so it’s time to meet out guest for this month.  Without further adieu, I would like to introduce you to our Guest Muse for November 2010…JODI COLLINS of Stamping a Latte!

Jodi DD Pic 1

Let's get to know a little bit about Jodi in her own words:

Hi!  My name is Jodi Collins, Kharmagirl on SCS, and I am just THRILLED to be Mercy's Guest Muse for November!  I live on Long Island, New York, with my very supportive husband Chris, and two little girls, Meredith and Avery.  I am totally addicted to ALL things paper crafty, and have the pleasure of stamping just for fun and also for wonderful design teams.  When I am not stamping (which isn't often!), I am working full time as a real estate paralegal, and I am also an avid reader.  Aside from being addicted to paper crafting, I am also somewhat (cough cough) addicted to all things Twilight.  I can't wait to work with the Mercy and her Muses this month!
