...Ain't Too Proud To Beg

Is this dog not the cutest thing you've ever seen?!? I would like to introduce you to "Beggar". He is one of the many adorable animals available from Inky Antics, and I simply love him! He was stamped with Jet Black Staz-On Ink onto a piece of Watercolor Paper. I colored him with an Aquapainter, a Creamy Caramel Stampin' Write Marker, and a Close To Cocoa Stampin' Write Marker. His paws were popped up off of the panel using Dimensionals. I also colored the background using an Aquapainter and Bashful Blue Stampin' Write Marker, then used the Kiwi Kiss Classic Ink Pad along with the Tangerine Tango Classic Ink Pad to color his collar. The hat was from the "Sock Monkey Accessories" set, and it was also colored with the Tangerine Tango Classic Ink Pad and Aquapainter. The sentiment was from "Best Yet", and was stamped in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink. I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig and Image Sheet to get my sentiment straight...and if you do not have one of these wonderful tools, then you definitely need to get one. You will never have another crooked sentiment! The completed panel was popped up from the base using Dimensionals.

The focal panel was matted with Kiwi Kiss Cardstock and Chocolate Chip Cardstock. The patterned paper was from the Frosty Day Designer Series Paper pack, and it was matted with Tangerine Tango Cardstock. Three Fire Circles Rhinestone Brads were added to the left-hand side of the panel before it was attached to the Bashful Blue Cardstock base using SNAIL Adhesive.

That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you all tomorrow with a card for this week's Color Challenge and Sketch Challenge at SCS. DON'T FORGET TO ENTER TO WIN $30 FREE STAMPIN' UP MERCHANDISE AT THIS POST. Until later...

... Up To Some Inky Antics!

I had a phenomenal time this weekend with my "Tag Team" (LOL!) stamping retreat pals Pam Varnell, Janet Beahm, Donna White-Dropkin, and Ashley Ward. We stamped for hours, laughed non-stop, ate every chance possible, and learned valuable insights....FOUR HOURS, LADIES!!! I absolutely love going away for the weekend, and having a chance to stamp whatever I want whenever I want. I also got an opportunity to catch up on some challenges that I missed while I was preparing to leave for the retreat.

This is my submission for Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try this weekend. I used this adorable Elmer the Elephant stamp from Inky Antics on this particular card with the following colors: Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, and Whisper White. I watercolored him, then decided that I wanted to make him a Christmas elephant after I had popped his ears and trunk up using Dimensionals. So I got out "Sock Monkey Accessories", and used the Santa hat and present from the set. The tangerine panel was stamped in Tangerine Tango Classic Ink with the "Canvas" background stamp. The sides of the panel were also pierced using a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer. The sentiment from "Many Merry Messages" was stamped in Always Artichoke Craft Ink, then it was embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Gun. The circles on the sides were punched out using the 1" Circle Punch, the 3/4" Circle Punch, and the 1/2" Circle Punch. I attached them to each other in a staggered fashion, then added an Orange Fire Circle Rhinestone Brad to the each one.

Well that's it for today! Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to come back tomorrow to see my Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I will have a surprise up my sleeve, too! Until later...
