…Farm Fresh Color Challenge

card_1557

Happy Friday, everyone!  It’s time for another Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm Blog, and this week we have a…COLOR CHALLENGE (Turquoise, Black, and 1 other color).  I used an older image, “Oh, Boy Ian” to create my card.  I stamped him in Black Ink, then colored him with Copic Sketch Markers.  I paired the finished image with some patterned papers from a couple of retired paper pads from Stampin’ Up, and added some stitching to the large plaid panel.  I added some Paper Piercing to the edges of the focal panel, then attached the image to it using Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from the “Anya Says” set in Black Ink onto Red Cardstock, then layered it with Turquoise and Black Cardstock.  After adding some Silver Nail Heads and several more Dimensionals the card was complete!

Now let's see what the other Farmers have up their sleeves for today's challenge:

That's it for now! Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to head over to the TGF Blog for the official challenge rules and to play along with us!  THIS WEEK’S WINNER WILL RECEIVE THE “OA-LITTLE DREAMER” SET!  I'll see you back here some time next week!  Until then…

Happy Friday, everyone!  It’s time for another Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm Blog, and this week we have a SCRAPBOOK SKETCH CHALLENGE By Melyssa.  I’m not a huge fan of paper scrapbooking, but I absolutely LOVE digital scrapbooking.  So I begged Jessica to let me make some digital layouts using the TGF digital images to show how versatile they can be.  It is easy as pie to create simple outlined images, but it is also a cinch to color the images in Photoshop (I opted to leave mine outlines in this instance).  ***I will have a tutorial soon on how to create custom digital images.

I used “WS-Jeremy” and “WS-Odette” on this page beside the title.    I paired the photo of my son and his best friend with digi patterned papers from the Sweet Shoppe Design’s Day One SB Kit by Lauren Grier (the black frame around their names was also from this kit).  The torn spiral edges and scalloped strip were created using the Sweet Shoppe Designs’ Punchy Edges Kit by Julie Billingsley, and the stitching was from the Bad Sewing Machine I Kit by Traci Reed.  The star embellishments, folded paper medallion, and splattered Kraft paper were all from the Wondrous Kit by Julie Billingsley.  VIOLA…a digital scrapbook page using Melyssa’s sketch! :)

Happy Friday, everyone!  It’s time for another Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm Blog, and this week we have an ENVELOPE CHALLENGE.  We were to create a card using some sort of envelope, and this is what I came up with.  I used one of the new Miss Anya images from the “Miss Anya Lounge” set to create my card along with a 3-5/8” X 6-1/2” envelope.  I stamped Miss Anya in Black Ink, then colored her with Copic Sketch Markers.  I sealed the envelope, then cut one end off at 1-1/8” to create the new closure.  I then ran the larger portion of the envelope through a crimper, then decorated each portion.  I paired the image with some patterned papers from BasicGrey’s Lime Rickey paper pack.  After adding some Paper Piercing, a Diecut Flower, Silver Pearls, and tons of Dimensionals the card was complete!

…Farm Fresh Old School Style

card_1459

Happy Friday, everyone!  This week over at The Greeting Farm Blog we have a new challenge…”Let’s Get Old School” by Jessica and Marie!  We were to create a card using older stamps, but there’s a catch…we were limited to which stamps we could and couldn’t use.  We COULD NOT use:

  • Wild Sprouts
  • Cheeky Cherry collection
  • Oliver/Amelia Stamps
  • Creepers or Creepy Cakes
  • Any Anya AFTER the release of WILD WEST ANYA (Spring/Summer 09)
  • Any Ian AFTER the releases of SKATER IAN (Spring 09)
  • Miss Anyas/My Guy Ians
  • Any Critter Crew images
  • Grandparents/Darling Sisters

I decided to use “Geisha Anya”, so I stamped her in Black Ink and colored her with Copic Sketch Markers.  She was paired with some patterned paper from BasicGrey’s Bittersweet Paper pad.  I also used a border punch to create the Black Cardstock scallop, then stitched it to the patterned paper panels.  After adding some Dry Embossing, Paper Piercing, Ribbon, and lots of Dimensionals the card was complete…whatcha think?!?

Now let's see what the other Farmers and Critter Crew have up their sleeves for today's challenge:

…Farm Fresh “You Move Me” Challenge

card_1451

Happy Friday, everyone!  This week over at The Greeting Farm Blog we have a new challenge…”You Move Me” by Melyssa!  We were to create a card that had some kind of “moveable” piece to it.  I wanted to use the retired Halloween set called “Spooktacular”.  Each image was stamped in Black Ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  I drew in the sidewalk and grass myself, and also colored them with Copics.  I paired the completed panel with some patterned paper from SU’s retired Ghostly Greeting Designer Series Paper pack.  We were to create a card that had some sort of movement to it, so I created a pull-out sentiment (seen below):

card_1451_3

Here’s what the whole card looks like with the sentiment pulled out:
