…Verve Day Beauty

card_1475

VSWCMD5

I’m celebrating the beauty that every season has to offer (both in nature and in life) this Thursday, Verve fans!  I decided to use one of the new Verve Plain Janes along with the VSWMCD5 Sketch Challenge from the Verve Blog as the focus of today’s card.  This gorgeous sentiment is from the “Every Season” single, and I accented it with one of the flowers from the “Many Blessings” set as well.  I used some patterned paper from SU’s retired Fall Flowers Designer Series Paper pack along with some Kraft, Baja, and White Cardstock.  I collage stamped the sentiment on the large Baja background panel, then sponged the edges with a Sponge Dauber and Baja Ink.  I also distressed all four sides with my Distressing Tool.  I stamped the flower image in Black Ink, colored it with Copic Sketch Markers, then cut it out using Scissors.  The sentiment was stamped in Rich Cocoa Ink onto White Cardstock, then cut out using Spellbinders’ Classic Rectangle Dies.  I used the same sponge dauber from earlier to sponge around the inside edges of the sentiment panel while it was still inside the nesties die.  I added some Baja Striped Ribbon, Stitching, Paper Piercing, and tons of Dimensionals to complete the card.

That’s it for me today!  Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you back here again tomorrow with another TGF Farm Fresh Friday Challenge!  Until then…
