...Verve Day Thursday Birthday

That title is a mouthful, isn't it?!?  LOL!  This was the card that I made for mother's birthday on the 1st of this month.  I wanted to make her a card with a shabby-chic-antiqued feel to it, so I immediately reached for my Verve Stamps.  I used two set from the March Release "Happy Birthday (Plain Jane)" and "Birthday Wishes (Plain Jane)". I stamped the images in Black Brilliance Ink onto Kraft Cardstock, embossed them, the colored the flowers with Copic Sketch Markers.  The focal panel was cut out using Circle Nestie Dies and my Big Shot. I cut out the flowers from the one stamp, and attached them to the outer edge of the focal panel.  I added some piercing between the two blooms using a Circle Piercing Guide and Paper Piercer, then sponged the edges of the entire circle.  I LOVE the way it turned out!

I paired the images with a piece of polka-dotted patterned paper from the Be Loved paper pack by My Mind's Eye, and added piercing around the edges with a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer.  I created another panel by adding a piece of Kraft Cardstock that had been punched with the Morocco Lace Edger Punch by EK Success.  I added more detail to it by sewing a piece of Cream Lace Ribbon to it, then attached the panel to the patterned paper.  After I distressed the edges of the patterned paper panel I attached it to the card base using Dimensionals, then sponged the edges of the card base with a Sponge Dauber and Sahara Sand Ink Pad.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you again tomorrow with another Farm Fresh Friday Challenge! Until then...

I am so enjoying your creations lately. I can't wait to stop in and see what's next. Thanks for the inspiration again! I was just wondering if papercrafters were coloring with markers on "other than white" CS. Checkmark that one off my list.{wink}
