Time for another peek at another Verve-alicious release coming out this weekend! This set is called Bountiful Backgrounds, and it includes four gorgeous background strips and four sentiments. I've said it before, but I will say it again...Julee Tilman is a GENIUS! I love the designs on the background stamps, and the font for the sentiments are delicious! I started with a Kraft Cardstock base, then stamped the flourish background strip in Soft Suede Classic Ink. I added the dotted circle (from the set Petals & Stems) to the center of every other opening in Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink. I added some sponging around the outside edges of the card with a Sponge Dauber and Sahara Sand Classic Ink. I then embossed the Rich Razzleberry Cardstock strip with the polka dotted stamp, and punched the bottom edge with the Scallop Edge Punch. The sentiment was stamped on Kraft Cardstock in Rich Razzleberry ink, and punched out using the 1-3/4" Circle Punch. I distressed the edges with the Heidi Swapp Distressing Tool, then added some piercing with a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer. The only embellishments used on this simple card were Rich Razzleberry Dotted Ribbon (I flipped the ribbon over to hide the dots), and a Purple Button with Linen Thread.
