...Enjoy : A Verve Gift Bag

Happy Sunday, everyone! It has been a very odd weekend at my house. It started with the fact that I didn't sleep at all Thursday night working on some projects, then I ran around Friday with my friend, Pam. We went out to eat at our favorite Japanese restaurant, then decided to do some craft shopping. While we were in the middle of shopping, I was hit with a horrible dizzy spell! I haven't passed out since I was about ten years old, but the feeling was all-too-familiar. I had to go to the car and sit back with my eyes closed for the ride back to her house.

The dizziness didn't subside, so I came home. I can only assume that the combination of lack of sleep, not enough fluids throughout the day, and the excitement about being a Verve Guest Diva was simply too much for my delicate body {wink, wink} to handle. Once I got home, I changed into my pajamas and had planned to take a nap. The Verve Release Party was Friday night, and there was NO WAY I was going to miss it. Well...my body had plans of its own! I slept all evening and night on Friday, AND most of the day on Saturday...I even carried on a coherent phone conversation while I was comatose! LOL! I hope I was pleasant! :) Anywho...I missed the release party, and I was just devastated! I had made a special project to share and everything. So...seeing as how I didn't get a chance to show it off at the Verve Forum I decided to show it to all of you today! Here we go...do you remember this tag I created the other day?

I made this gift bag using the tag as the focal panel:

I repeated the patterned papers and silver accents onto the background for the tag. I love how it turned out! I have a house filled with boys and testosterone, so any time I can create something girlie and froo-froo...I'm on it! LOL! The patterned papers were from the Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper, and I matted the layers in either Basic Gray Cardstock or Whisper White Cardstock. I also added a scallop on the gray horizontal layer using the Scallop Edge Punch, and I finished off the handles with Baja Grosgrain Ribbon and Baja Buttons from the Button Bouquet.

That's it for me! I am still pretty tired, but I have too many chores to complete to nap today! Thanks for stopping by to see me, and I hope you enjoyed yourself. I will see you all tomorrow with a card(s) for one (or more) of the sketch challenges from this past weekend. Until then...

I don't want to sound like your mother, you're an adult afterall, BUT you should see a doctor IMMEDIATELY. This could be this the sign of something serious. If it turns out not to be, the Dr. will just give you a lecture about taking better care of yourself.:)

SEE THE DR. ON MONDAY!!!!!!

I feel your pain, Mercy! The thought of an all nighter just about puts me in the psych ward as I know how long it takes me to recover from staying up till 1:00 a.m LOL! In my case I've never been able to stay up late -- even as a teenager at sleep overs I was always the first one asleep and usually had a pounding headache, was grouchy and lethargic the next day. Now, with getting older, it is only worse....has to be a reeeeeally special occasion for me to stay up that late....so sad, but that's my body for you!

I missed you but am very glad your body won out. Sounds like youn needed the sleep.

Your card is lovely. I got that butterfly set and can't wait for it to arrive. Sleep well :D

Glad you're feeling better. I have had the same fainting feeling after consuming Chinese or Japanese food in a restaurant...it could be a reaction to MSG (made worse by your exhaustion!) Advice? Don't eat at that particular restaurant again.
Very cute gift bag, by the way!

Don't burn yourself out my friend, selfishly, we love your fabulous creations.

Mercy, this is just SO fabulous! I love the sparkle on the butterfly. I really hope you're feeling better - I've had my share of episodes after nights with no sleep, so I completely understand! It seems the older I get, the longer it takes to recover. It's so sad getting old! LOL
