...Clean & Simple Sparkle

DON'T FORGET TO ENTER TO WIN SOME BLOG CANDY HERE!
This is my sample for today's Clean & Simple Challenge #21 at SCS...Make It Sparkle! I started with a So Saffron Cardstock base, then matted the additional layer with Garden Green Cardstock. The patterned paper was from the Flock Together Designer Series Paper pack, and a piece of 5/8" So Saffron Grosgrain Ribbon ( this ribbon was from the 2009 Sale-a-brations Ribbon Bundle) was added to the patterned paper panel. I used a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer to create the holes along the bottom portion of the card, and stamped the sentiment from "Bird on a Branch" in Garden Green Classic Ink above the panel. I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig and Image Sheet to help line up the sentiment...I can't stand crooked sentiments! The glittery flowers were created by covering a scrap piece of Certainly Celery Cardstock with VersaMark Ink, then sprinkling some Heat & Stick Powder over it. I then heated the powder with a Heat Gun (just as you would with embossing powder), then covered the area quickly with Dazzling Diamond Glitter while the powder was still wet. I punched the cardstock with the Trio Flower Punch, then added a Silver Brad in the center of each one. The three blooms were attached to the card base using Dimensionals.

That's it for today! I was going to show you the project that I made today, but I decided to work up a tutorial for it instead. I will be sharing that with you tomorrow, so until then...
