Where in the world have I been? I just noticed the Clean and Simple Challenge Forum at SCS yesterday! They post a new challenge every Monday, and I decided to participate in yesterday's when I saw that the challenge was to remake an old card into a CAS card. I chose to remake THIS card. I took away all of the patterned papers, and kept the layers simple. I also changed the color scheme, and added a flourish in the background.
I started with a Pink Pirouette Cardstock base. I stamped the flourish from "Baroque Motifs" in Chocolate Chip Craft Ink, and embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder. I also pierced the card base with a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer before I stamped the sentiment from "Elegant Cheer" in the same manner as the flourish. I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig and Image Sheet for proper placement. The center medallion from "Friends 24-7" was stamped and embossed onto another piece of Pink Pirouette Cardstock, then I used Spellbinders' Classic Oval Nestabilities and Sizzix Big Shot to create the focal panel (the mat for the focal panel was Chocolate Chip Cardstock). The completed panel was attached to the card base using Dimensionals, and a piece of Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon was added to finish off the card.
That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you all again tomorrow! Until then...
