...Sketch Cards

Don't forget the following:
  • To enter to win some yummy blog candy HERE...the winner will be chosen on the 7th!
  • The huge sale at Stamps and Smiles...details found HERE!
This is a card I made using one of my own sketches...what do you think?. I started with a Bashful Blue Cardstock base, then matted each additional layer with Riding Hood Red Cardstock. The focal panel was double matted with bashful and riding hood cardstock, though. The patterned papers were from the Washington Apple Designer Series Paper pack, and the focal image was from Stamping Bella's KETTO stamp set "Dragonfly". It was stamped in Basic Black Craft Ink onto Watercolor Paper, then embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Gun. It was colored with an Aquapainter and the following Classic Ink Pads: Real Red, Ruby Red, So Saffron, Bashful Blue, and Pumpkin Pie. The sentiment was from SU's set "Bugs & Kisses", and it was stamped in Jet Black Staz-On Ink using a Stamp-a-ma-jig and Image Sheet for proper placement. The only embellishments used were Silver Brads and a piece of 5/8" Riding Hood Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. I also colored over the wings with a Gold Sakura Glaze Pen.

This was my submission for Sketch Challenge #222 at SCS from Wednesday {I would have linked this to the SCS site, but the site is messed up right now...I will come back and do it later, though}. I started with a Sahara Sand Cardstock base, the matted the additional layers in a combination of Bravo Burgundy Cardstock and Sahara Sand Cardstock. The patterned papers were from the retired Parisian Summer Designer Series Paper pack, and they were pierced using a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer. The images are all from SU's retired stamp set "Carte Postale"...I miss this set so much! I used the following Classic Ink Pads to stamp the images onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, River Rock, and Bravo Burgundy. The only thing I added was a piece of 5/8" Pink Pirouette Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

That's it for today! I am going on a shopping spree to day with my gal pal, Pam Varnell, so I will not be home the rest of the afternoon. Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you back here sometime this weekend with another creation. Until then...
