...Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #59

Sorry for not posting anything for the past couple of days, but I have been enjoying spending some time with my hubby. He has been pulling double shifts for a little over two weeks now, and Thursday was his last one for this I have enjoyed having him home for a change! :)

I felt so guilty about not posting anything for you all, and I really liked Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #59 sketch for this I decided to do a little something for you! I started with a Real Red Cardstock base, then matted the additional layers with Basic Black Cardstock (the focal panel has an additional mat of Real Red Cardstock, too). All of the patterned papers were from the Pink Flamingo Designer Series Paper pack. and the large dotted panel was pierced using a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer. The coral circle panel was cut using my Big Shot and the Classic Circle Nestabilities {thanks, Pam}.

I stamped the image from the Stampin' Up! set "A Kind Word" in Basic Black Craft Ink onto a piece of Watercolor Paper, then embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Gun. I colored the panel using an Aquapainter and the following Classic Ink Pads and Refills: Real Red, Cameo Coral, Tempting Turquoise, Summer Sun, Close to Cocoa, Blush Blossom. The sentiment was stamped on a scrap piece of Cameo Coral Cardstock in the same manner as the focal image. I added Silver Brads to the focal panel, and a Black Button with some Silver Cording to the sentiment panel to complete the card.

That's it for now! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you all tomorrow with another creation. Until then...

Stamps: A Kind Word (Stampin' Up!)
