This is my submission for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration #35. I love all of these colors she has chosen, but they aren't the ones I would normally reach for...so I had to do this challenge! I started with a Baja Breeze Cardstock base, then matted each layer with Chocolate Chip Cardstock. The yellow patterned paper was from one of the new designer papers coming out in the upcoming catalog, and it's called Jackpot Designer Series Paper. The edges were pierced using a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, then a piece of 5/8" Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon was added around the entire panel. I then added three Antique Brass Brads down the left side. The focal panel was Very Vanilla Cardstock that was stamped with the snowflakes from "Snow Burst". I used Close To Cocoa Craft Ink, So Saffron Craft Ink, VersaMark, and Baja Breeze Classic Ink to create the different colored flakes. They were embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Gun. The sentiment was from Verve Visual's set "Ornamental Christmas". It was stamped in Chocolate Chip Craft Ink, then embossed in the same manner as the snowflakes. The scalloped mat was create using Spellbinder's Classic Rectangles Nestabilities. I added some more piercing around the edges of the focal panel, then attached the panel to the base using Dimensionals.
I have one more challenge to work on for today...Julee Tilman's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #65. Wish me luck! See you again soon, but until then...
