...Season's Greetings Sketch

Well, I finally finished making all of the changes to my blog...what do you think? I thought this layout looked quite a bit cleaner than the one I used before. I also like the burgundy and gray in this particular one...it kinda fits the season, doesn't it? I removed all of the GreatSwaps Girls' website links, but if you click onto the GSG icon it will take you to our website where all of the members and their blogs are listed. I also trimmed the fat from my blogroll, too. I have left the ones that I visit daily, and I have a couple more to add before the week is over. I also included all of my Stampin' Up stuff to try to drum up some extra business. I updated the labels used on each post, so I hope that makes it easier to find what you may be searching for. I am so happy with the way it turned out...for now {wink, wink}! Now on to today's card!

This was my submission for yesterday's Sketch Challenge #201 at SCS...I loved all of the layers! I am a non-traditional-Christmas-card-kind-of-girl, so I wanted to put non-traditional colors together. I used the following colors: Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Real Red, Basic Black, and Shimmery White. The flower was from the set "Pick A Petal", and I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig and Image Sheet to get the petals exactly where they needed to be. On the red panel, I used the large flower from the set "Season of Joy", then stamped the Real Red Cardstock in Real Red Classic Ink. Then I used the word block (from the same set), and stamped the Kiwi Kiss Cardstock in Kiwi Kiss Classic Ink. Finally, I stamped the sentiment from the set "Many Merry Messages" in Pacific Point Classic Ink onto the kiwi panel. I punched out one large Pacific Point Cardstock circle using the 1/2" Circle Punch, then punched out three smaller ones with the 1/4" Circle Punch. Four Light Green Rhinestone Brads were added to the centers of the punched circles, and added to the card. Each panel was popped up off of the card base using Dimensionals, then a piece of 5/8" Pacific Point Striped Grosgrain Ribbon was added around the kiwi panel to complete this cheerful Christmas card.

That's it for today! I have to get some bills paid, and some running done this afternoon...so I had best get started! Thanks for stopping by today, and I will see you all again tomorrow! Until then...

Mercy - I love the new blog look -

I would appreciate any pointers you could share with me for setting up a blog - I have no idea where to even start.
