Well today was a wonderful and relaxing holiday! My family got to spend the day with our very best friends. The ladies kept busy card making while the guys played "Rock Band" on the PlayStation 3. We had such a great Labor Day weekend, and I hope all of you did also!
This card was one of the creations from today. I used the Stampin' Up set called "Inspired By Nature" on this one. I absolutely love the over-sized Black-Eyed Susans in the set...and I love that SU is double-mounting their larger images and sentiments (WAY SMART)! I scored the Garden Green background piece to look like lattice work, then added a shadow to the flowers in the focal panel by using VersaMark ink. I think the colors of this card are so elegant and pretty together...don't you? I also used three jumbo brads to finish it off.
That's it for today, but tomorrow I hope to upload the projects that will be featured in all of my September Clubs entitled "Taking On Testosterone"...masculine cards! Not an easy task seeing as I tend to make very girly cards in very girly colors, but I got them done nonetheless! So until then....
