This is my submission for today's Inspiration Challenge at SCS : Mackintosh Enamels. I used a card base of Kraft Cardstock (6-5/8" X 6-1/2") to make a long card that will fit inside the Small Open-End Envelopes from SU! Once it was folded in half, its measurements were 6-5/8" X 3-1/4". Four strips made from Old Olive Cardstock, Basic Gray Cardstock, Real Red Cardstock, and Chocolate Chip Cardstock measuring 2-1/8" X 3/4" were cut. A Black Brad was added to the top of each strip, and the strips were attached to the card base using SNAIL Adhesive. The focal panel consisted of Very Vanilla Cardstock (3-1/2" X 1-1/4") and Basic Black Cardstock (3-5/8" X 1-3/8"). The flower images were from the set "A Beautiful Thing". The solid background flower was stamped three times onto a scrap piece of vanilla cardstock with Chocolate Chip Classic Ink, Real Red Classic Ink, and Old Olive Classic Ink. The outlined flower was stamped over the solid image in Jet Black Staz-On Ink. Each flower was then cut out using CutterBee Scissors, and attached to the focal panel using Dimensionals. A Small Black KaiserScrapbook Rhinestone was added to the center of each bloom to complete the panel. The sentiment, from the set "Hugs & Wishes", was stamped in Jet Black Staz-On Ink using a Stamp-a-ma-jig and Image Sheet for placement.
I didn't work on the LSC from yesterday, but at least I completed a challenge! I will be working on my projects for my upcoming classes this week which is going to feature "Long & Lovely" cards.....so this card just might make it into the line-up!
Thanks for stopping by today, and I will see you all tomorrow! Until then.....
