...Sketch Challenge #148

This is my submission for today's sketch challenge. The base of the card is Always Artichoke cardstock stamped with the Canvas background stamp in artichoke. The card itself is Chocolate Chip cardstock stamped with the Flannel Plaid background stamp in chocolate. I took paper from the Apple Cider and Holiday Harmony designer packs to mat onto the chocolate card. The edges of the artichoke piece are sponged in artichoke, but the edges of the brown piece are sponged in chocolate. I then mounted the brown designer paper onto a scrap piece of chocolate, and attached it to the card. The focal image is from the set Lovely As a Tree, and it was stamped using VersaMark ink onto a piece of watercolor paper. The entire image was embosssed with Seafoam White embossing powder from Ranger, and I used a sponge to add color to the background. I used Creamy Caramel, Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, and Always Artichoke. Then I rubbed the ink off the trees with a tissue before mounting the panel onto artichoke and chocolate cardstock. The sentiment is from the set Circle of Friendship, and is stamped on watercolor paper in chocolate, then punched out using the 1-inch circle punch. I sponged around the edges with chocolate before attaching it to a piece of artichoke paper I had punched out with the 1-1/4 inch circle punch. The chocolate center piece was punched out with the 1/2-inch circle punch. I have a dimensional between each layer of the button to make it stand out more, and the front panel is also on dimensionals.

That's it for today! Thanks for coming by, and I will see you all tomorrow! Hugs and Happy Halloween ~ Mercy
