...Peaceful Wishes & For Victoria

This is one of the last of my September Stampin' Class projects. With the title of the class being "Effortless Embossing", I just had to feature the emboss resist technique. The card is 4.5" square made from Whisper White. The berry sprigs are stamped onto the white in two corners using Always Artichoke, then the artichoke is used to sponge the sides of the card. The focal image is stamped in craft white onto Whisper White cardstock, then embossed using sea foam white embossing powder. I used a sponge dauber to cover the whole panel, but focused on making the areas of the sprigs darker than the rest. Dimension, dimension, dimension! The embossed sprigs resist the ink from the dauber which makes them *pop* against the green. Then the focal panel is matted with Bravo Burgundy. The sentiment is embossed the same as the sprigs onto burgundy also, then it is matted onto Always Artichoke. I added some paper piercing across the top of the card using a piercer and mat pack. Some white silk ribbon finishes the card off...ain't it perty?!

And here is the last of my class cards for this month. This card is dedicated to (and being sent to) a beautiful young lady in Texas who is battling cancer. You can read about Victoria's story HERE. The thought of another young lady in a fight for her life really strikes a chord with me, especially since my own niece is in a similar fight. The flower topper was embossed with dark brown and rust embossing powder. The card is 4.5" square using Very Vanilla with a strip of Apple Cider Designer paper and Really Rust cardstock across the center. I used the Boho roller in Creamy Caramel to add a little something to the background, then stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip. I {heart} tent topper cards, don't you?!

I have some pictures of my projects from my craft show this weekend (can we say horrible experience?!...I'll get into that later), so I will have some more {new} stuff to show you this week!

Hope everyone is well, and I will see you all tomorrow! Hugs ~ Mercy

The Peaceful Wishes is so beautiful with the little springs popping out on the main white cardstock. I love the white silk ribbon too.

The "dare to be fabulous" one is so nice too. I really like the sentiment. It is ideal for someone battling cancer. The use of the Boho roller is perfect for the background. I love it.
