...Sketch Challenge #136/Inspiration Challenge #88

I appear to be working backwards, but I had to share my favorites first! I have another sketch challenge... however this one is also an inspiration challenge as well. The inspirational piece is seen HERE...a gorgeous rug. I loved the earth and jewel tones throughout the rug, so I wanted to use the same on the card. So I chose Ruby Red, Always Artichoke, River Rock, and Very Vanilla. This was the first time I had ever used this set, but I quickly became accustomed to it! It is so simple to stamp, but looks so classy when you are finished. Love, love, love it! I would advise anyone who doesn't have Baroque Motifs to get it ASAP! You will not be disappointed...promise. The original card sketch is seen HERE. I cut mine out using the Coluzzle, but I have seen several that used punches. Either one will look great. The medallions are cut out, then stacked up using dimensionals. I used a brad in the center to add a little "somethin'-somethin'". I also used All in a Row to put a stitched border down the center of the card.

On a personal note, I have been several weeks without a vehicle now. My transmission went out on it several weeks ago, and nothing we have tried has been a success. My poor hubby knows what is wrong now, but can't seem to get to the part he needs to work on. He's frustrated with the car, I'm frustrated about not having a car, and the boys are frustrated with us being frustrated...it's a vicious cycle! As we speak, hubby is outside trying to get anything to work, but failing miserably! Bless his heart! I am going to tell him to give it up and go to bed. Maybe we will have more luck with it tomorrow. Wish us luck! I will see you all later. Hugs ~ Mercy
