...Crazy 4 Textures (C4C26)

Don't forget to check out the post HERE for a chance to win some BLOG CANDY!
Happy Saturday! It's time to get "crazy" again with the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog, and this month Robin Willis has been issuing some wonderful challenges to play along with. This week you're asked to create a card or project with three different textures. You can dry emboss, heat emboss, use textured papers...anything with TEXTURE. I chose to use the "Spring Thing" digital set from C.C. Designs...aren't these little sheep just adorable?!? I drew over the fence and sheep with a VersaMarker, then embossed all of them before I colored them with Copic Sketch Markers. I cut out the panel using a Nestabilities die and a Big Shot, then added the three sheep using Dimensionals. I also put some White Flock on each of the sheep using a Glue Pen, then paired the completed focal panel with a piece of patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket's Girl Friday paper pad. I added more texture by dry embossing the Kraft card base with Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, and by tying a piece of Rose Grosgrain Ribbon around the card front. So here are all of the textures I included in my sample: (1)dry embossed card base, (2)grosgrain ribbon, (3)wet embossed images, (4) flocked sheep. I think I accomplished the challenge! LOL!
Now let's see what the rest of the design team have created for you to peruse:

That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by to see me, and now it's your turn to create a card or project using TEXTURE, and share it with us. Be sure to add your creation to Mister Linky back at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog post...we can't wait to see what you come up with! Until later...

...Let Them Eat Cake

Don't forget to check out the post HERE for a chance to win some BLOG CANDY!

It's Farm Fresh Friday time again at The Greeting Farm Blog, and this week our challenge is...Let Them Eat Cake. We were to create a card using a "cakey" sweet treat, so I used the cupcake and table from the "Sweet Tooth" set, and the sweet monkey image from the "Sweet Messages" set. I paired them with some patterned papers from the Farm Fresh collection by October Afternoon. The image was stamped in black and embossed onto a piece of PTI White Cardstock, then colored with the Copics seen in the picture above.

Now let's see what the rest of the design team members have up their sleeves for today's challenge:

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by to see me, and I will see you back here tomorrow with a creation for Crazy 4 Challenges! Until then...

...Still Love Me Some MFT!

Don't forget to check out the post HERE for a chance to win some BLOG CANDY!

...especially the Pure Innocence stamp line! I knew I would be purchasing this sweet "Better Get Better" set as soon as I saw it! I love the teddy bear all bandaged up...he is just precious! I stamped the image in black onto a piece of PTI White Cardstock, embossed it, then colored it with my Copic Sketch Markers. I created a sidewalk using a Ruler and a Black Copic Multiliner, then colored it with Copics as well. I must admit that my inspiration for this card came from the patterned papers in the new Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety pad. I don't use these shades of green very often, but you'll be seeing more of them until I run out of this paper pad! LOL! I created a custom button by running a Clear Button through my Xyron Sticker Maker, then sticking it to another piece of coordinating patterned paper. I trimmed the edges with a pair of scissors, them poked two holes through the back of the button using a Paper Piercer. A little bit of sewing and some ribbon completed the card.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you back here for another Farm Fresh Friday Challenge. Until then...

...Flutter By Ginger

Don't forget to check out the post HERE for a chance to win some BLOG CANDY!

This is my submission for the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge #98. I used another of Amy Young's images from C.C. Designs' Sweet November line called "Ginger". This is actually the digital image, so I'm not sure if the stamp is large or not...but I like them a bit larger in order to see the details of their faces. I drew a branch for her to sit on with a Black Copic Multiliner, then colored the images with Copic Sketch Markers. And what is a fairy without glitter on her wings? Ginger has a few streaks of Crystal Stickles on her gossamer wings to add a little sparkle. I wanted to keep the card as simple as possible, so I only added two pieces of patterned paper that coordinated with the precious image. The sentiment was from C.C. Designs' Spring Sugarplum Stamp Kit (and if you don't have this...you REALLY need to get it), and was simply stamped in black. A little stitching and four Silver Pearls completed the card.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you tomorrow with another project! Until then...

Papers: Sahara Sand, PTI White, Love Me Do DP (My Mind's Eye), Eva DP (BasicGrey)

...Viva La Stitching

This card is for last Friday's Viva La Verve Challenge at the Verve Forum AND Wednesday's Cuttlebug Be Inspired Challenge #71. I used this gorgeous purple dining room as inspiration for my color combo, and used the sketch provided for the layout...but I flipped it, of course! I added stitching to both the horizontal and circular panels, which was the challenge from the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog. The card base was embossed using the Cuttlebug Textile Texture Embossing Folder, and the the striped panel was embossed with the Diamonds In The Rough Embossing Folder.

The focal panel was stamped with the flourish from Verve's "Celebration of Thanks" set in Pale Plum Ink, and one of the sentiments from the "Forever In Our Hearts" in Bravo Burgundy Ink. I added pearls to the corners to the panel, tied some Dark Purple Ribbon around the card front, and pierced under the sentiment using a Mat Pack and Paper Piercer. The pearls were actually white, but I colored them with my V15 Copic Marker to perfectly match my card base...LOVE that trick!

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by to see me, and I will see you back here tomorrow with a BLOG CANDY SURPRISE!!! Until then...

...Just Playing With My Copics

As you all know, I took the plunge and purchased all of the Copic Sketch Markers not too long ago, and I haven't really had a chance to sit down and play around with them. So I finally decided to sit down the last couple of days to get the feel for them, and practice some blending and combining colors. Here are a couple of cards that I've put together using some of my colored images.I also bought some digital images from Mo's Digital Pencil...which I am in lo-o-o-o-o-ove with! (did you hear my Oprah voice come out? LOL) This first card was made using Mo's "Cody's Balloon" image, and I paired it with patterned papers from Cosmo Cricket's Get Happy paper pad. I love her artwork...these images have the sweetest and most realistic little faces.
This second card uses one of the images from The Greeting Farm's "Rock The Farm" stamp set. I just had to pair her with some of the patterned papers from October Afternoon's Farm Fresh paper pad.
That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by to see me....so what do you think? Am I headed in the right direction with these markers, or do I need to lock myself up in a room for several days and keep practicing {wink, wink}? You KNOW which one I'm leaning towards, right? LOL!

...I Love Digis

Happy Monday! I have a confession to make. I am just loving digital stamps! As you all know, I ordered all of the Copic Sketch Markers...and I have been coloring like crazy since I got them! I keep turning to all of those digital images that I have purchased along the way that have been neglected since I had no way of coloring them. I tried printing them out onto watercolor paper, but when the black lines got wet they always ran...and I can't stand that! So needless to say, these Copics have been a godsend! LOL!

For today's card, I used one of the new Sweet November images created by Amy Young for All That Scraps. These little pixies are just the cutest things, and they are such fun to color! This is "Fidget Goblinspider", and she was printed onto Neenah White cardstock then colored with Copics (see above for the specific colors). I paired her up with some patterned papers from the Jackson Lodge collection from Collage Press. I added some stitching, a rub-on sentiment, and punched flowers to complete the card.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you back here tomorrow with another creation. Until then...
