I was feeling a little sentimental today when I sat down to create a card. Christmas is over, and I didn’t really want to make a card to celebrate the New Year…so I decided that family was the way to go! I’ve been spending some precious time with my two teenage boys on Christmas vacation, so I thought it would only be fitting to showcase family today.
I didn’t use Photoshop at all in order to create this sweet scene…this is exactly the way it comes from By LORi Designs! “Sugar Sticks- Family Chair” has been a personal favorite of mine since it first came out, so I’m so happy that I finally got a chance to use it. I printed the digital image onto some of my PTI White Cardstock, then colored each member of this family with Copic Sketch Markers. I paired the completed image with some simple Kraft, White, and Blue Cardstock. The edges of the Blue and White Cardstock panels were created using the Scalloped Edge Border Punch, and I added some Small Silver Pearls to them. I created a sentiment using my computer, and printed it off onto a scrap piece of Kraft Cardstock as well. I distressed the edges of the smaller Kraft panel, then added some Paper Piercing around the edges of it as well. After adding some Red Ribbon, A Blue Button with Linen Thread, and tons of Dimensionals the card was complete. Whatcha think?
That’s it for me today! I have bills to pay and piles paper work to sort through...so I’ll be busy most of the day…UGH! Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you all back here tomorrow with another TGF Farm Fresh Friday challenge and January Release Preview. Until later…
