Happy Saturday, everyone! It has been one crazy week here at the Kerin house! The boys went back to school this week, so we have been supply shopping, getting the house back in order, and getting all of the back-to-school paperwork completed. I have hardly had time to sit down much less time to sit and make any cards! I have several projects that MUST be completed this weekend, so I am buckling down in order to get it all done. I had printed out the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #98 on Monday with every intention on getting it finished that same day, but to no avail. I am extremely OCD when it comes to certain things...one of them is completing challenges in order {I know...it's a sickness, but I am on medication! LOL}. If there are two challenges in front of me, I will start on the one that was posted first before moving on to the next. I am also a stickler for cleaning up my table and work area before starting another card/project...I like to have a clean start. It's crazy, I know...but that is my process! :)
For this card I turned the sketch 90 degrees right, and used the new Verve Visual stamp set, "Forever In Our Hearts" as my focal image. I stamped it in Basic Black Craft Ink onto a scrap piece of Glossy Cardstock, embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder and a Heat Gun, then colored it using Sponge Daubers and Classic Ink Pads. The circle panel was created using Spellbinders' Classic Circle Nesties, and the patterned paper was from the Tall Tales Designer Series Paper pack. I faux-stitched the patterned paper panel using a Mat Pack, Paper Piercer, and Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. I also added a piece of Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon, a saffron button from Button Latte, and some Linen Thread to finish off the card. That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you back here tomorrow with a couple of cards; one for the Viva La Verve Sketch from Friday, and an SU only card! Until then...

ReplyDeleteThis type of card is very difficult but this design is bright but not
ReplyDeleteoverdone; very tender. Thank you for
putting so much into your creations.
It is such a blessing to learn from
and just purely enjoy your posts. I
am getting up in years and find you
young people think normal is OCD. In
my day most women were very clean and
enjoyed order. We got things done
but still offered daily peace in our
homes for our families. Enjoy today!
