...Do Me A Favor For Some Blog Candy

I am going to be away from the house today stamping with my gal pal, Pam Varnell, but I need your honest opinions! Which of the following watermarks fits me and/or my cardmaking style best? I have been playing in Photoshop, and I've created these four to choose from. Problem is....I can't choose which I like best! ACK! So here's what I have decided to do: I am going to let you all choose which one will appear on my cards for the next couple of months. Just leave a comment {one per person please} at this post letting me know which one you would like to see used on my card photos. After all the votes have been tabulated, I will choose ONE PERSON to win their choice of ONE FREE STAMP SET from the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog from Stampin' Up! I will randomly draw and announce the name of the winner on April 7th, so be sure to check back in to see if you have won. Once the winner is announced, he/she will have 30 days to claim their prize. If the winner does not come forward in the allotted time frame, I will choose another individual to receive the blog candy.

Now...here are the choices:

Edited to Add: The background colors will not be visible when the watermark is transferred onto the card photo...I just gave the background different colors so you could see it easier. The watermark size will not be as large as it appears here either...it will be changed to fit in the corners of the card like I do my other one now. Thanks! :)

#1 : Fleur

#2 : Cog

#3 : Smudged Butterfly

#4 : Big Top
That's it for now! Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for helping me with this difficult decision. Until later...

  1. This is such a hard decision...I like the 3-D effect of your name on #1, I like the butterfly but not the background on #3, I love the background but am not sure about the font on #4...
    Ok, I choose #1

  2. HMMM can't you pick them all! lol... OK if I had to pick only 1.. hmmm only 1.. hmmm I'd go for #1 :)

    HUGS!

  3. No wonder you're having a hard time! They are all great but I keep going back to #2 .... looks to me like a pool of water that something has been dropped into...could be an encouraging word, a smile, a card when one is feeling down ... and there is a ripple effect coming from that! Hey! My mind takes off at times!
    Hope you pick #2!
    Blessings!

This was a no brainer for me. I LOVE butterflies and #3 watermark is so beautiful and colorful -- just like your card designs. Good luck with your selection.

  8. All of these are wonderful, but #1 was a clear stand out for me. I liked it the best. Your art work is wonderful no matter which watermark you use. And you can always save the others and use them at another time.

  10. They are all great! You have done a tremendous job. If I had to pick just one though I belive it would be #3. I love that little butterfly and all the little dots that seem to follow him. The background looks like a painters canvas so, #3 it is. My 2nd choice would have been #1. Good luck with getting lots of votes!!

  11. Tough choice because they are all great! I vote for #3 Smudged butterfly.

    ReplyDelete
  12. i really like the 3rd one, with the butterfly.

  13. It's a tough call because they are all different and great! I vote for #3 Smudged Butterfly - I think this is the most eye-catching design!

    ReplyDelete
  14. I like #3 smudged butterfly the best becuase I find it the easiest to read everything.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hi Mercy: I am a new (and delighted) follower, but I see you in #3.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Mercy: These are all really cute. I looked at your most recent cards and I pick #3 as the image that best meets your style.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I vote for #3, it's cute and fun just like your cards!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Love number 3 best good luck

  19. Hi Mercy, no wonder you are having a hard time choosing! My favorite design is number 4, but I lean towards the font for your name more like you sign each post. With that said, I'd end up picking number 3; it seems the best compromise and seems more your style. Good luck making your decision!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Okay, I would have to say I like number 4, Big Top the best, but couldn't say exactly why. I just like it for your blog. It seems to fit. They are all pretty cool though! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  21. What a decision...they're all really, really great. But I think I'll go with the red one as it is really easy to see, really easy to read the small print.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I don't want the watermark to take away from seeing your beautiful cards so I would go with the smaller one. So my pick is......hhhmmmm....#1, no 3, ok maybe 4! LOL Seriously, number 1 is it!

    ReplyDelete
  23. OMGOSH...they are all so cute!! I REALLY love number 3 and 4, but if I HAD to pick only one, it would be #3! :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. I vote for the smudged Butterfly- it is neat yet whimsical- kind of how I see a lot of your cards. Big top was really close though. Tough decision.

  25. I enjoy your blog & your great card designs. I would choose #3. Red is not my favorite color but the butterfly is adorable & the font is so easy to read.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well, my fav is the first one! Altho I do love the butterfly on #3, but I would still have to choose #1. Thanks for the chance to win and to hlep you decide.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I like the simplicity of #1 - Fleur, it's elegant and like your work, it's beautiful. I also like #3 with the butterfly but the background (smudged) seems a bit over powering. Thus, I will have to choose #1, the Fleur. Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us.

    Lin T.

  28. That's a hard one! But I really like #3 the best. Have fun stamping and thanks for the chance to win blog candy!!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I really like #3 but I think it may be a bit too much when putting it on as a watermark so i'm going with #1 =) Good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Only one of them spoke to me and was as unique as your cards....I vote for #4!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I vote for the butterfly...lovely.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I think they are all very cool, but the #3 Smudged Butterfly is by far the easiest to read, so I would go with that! You want people to know it's you and be able to find your blog! =)

    ReplyDelete
  33. I really like the simplicity of version #1 - Fleur. *shrug* I like all of them but that is the one that speaks to me most.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wow, they are all fabulous but I think I will pick #3 as my favourite!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I like #4 the best. It is simple and straight forward. It would be easy to see on the pictures. Cathy

    ReplyDelete
  36. i love the smudge background effect of #3. edgy, contemporary and artistic. i prefer the font of #2 and wonder how that would look with the background of #2 with or without the butterfly.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Wow! No wonder you're struggling to choose which to use....I've been up and down the list more than a dozen times and it's soooo hard to pick a favourite!

I like the first one best I think, but I'm choosing #3 for you to use because it's really easy to see all the info and the blog details. Even when it's smaller it should still be the clearest.

    ReplyDelete
  38. For me, it's Fleur! I think it's elegant and simple! Thanks for the chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I like the first one the best. I think the second one looks like a spellbinders die. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just not my favorite look.

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. I like #1 best. They are all great designs!

    ReplyDelete
  41. They're all great! If I had to pick I would choose #4 for the best fit.

Wish I could be stamping with you and Pam! I'm so jealous!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Smudged Butterfly is my favorite because your name is much easier to read than the others

    ReplyDelete
  43. I really do like them all but my favorite is #3.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I like the big top which is #4. It reminds me of a dahlia. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them!

    ReplyDelete
  45. They're all t'riffic but I like #3 best, followed by #1. It's difficult to read #1's raised typography unless you know what you're expecting ... I'd have preferred #3 with the script typeface but that wasn't an option!
I'll be curious to see which you use!

    ReplyDelete
  46. OMG Mercy how fun!! I LOVE them all but I would have to vote for #3!

Have fun stamping with Pam, wish I could join you!! Have a wonderful weekend, Jennifer :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. Sorry to do this, but I like the 1 & 2 writing on the 4 background.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Definately #3 - butterfly. It's great!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I immediately see you with #3.
I like the creativity of the wash f paint and love the butterfly too.

I would have liked to have seen them on an actual card...to see what they do to the image.

But for now..#3 (second choice was #4)

    ReplyDelete
  50. I like #3 the smudged butterfly!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I think that number 3 made me think of you more than the others. Not really sure why. I wonder what it looks like on a picture though without the color behind it.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Happy Hi Mercy! My vote is for #1. It's ALL U! Smiles, Pam :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. Okay, I've actually had to come back to your blog three different times to look over the options. Couldn't make my mind up the first time. I actually love them all, but I pick #1. It is simple yet classic. Thanks for the chance to win some blog candy. A stamp set from the new mini? How cool is that?!?!

    ReplyDelete
  54. They are all so fabulous Mercy!! I vote for #3:-)

    ReplyDelete
  55. I HAVE to say #3. It's clean and simple, leaving the focus where it should be...on your card. Love it!

    ReplyDelete
  56. What a tough choice! It's a tie between 1 & 2 for me but if I had to choose just one I'd choose #2. Can't wait to see which one you choose!

    ReplyDelete
  57. My vote is for # 3 :) Good luck in choosing!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Hi Mercy, I prefer # 3. It makes me think of spring!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I vote for #1, even though I like them all!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Definitely #1. It's clean, elegant and classic just like your style. Good luck deciding!!

    ReplyDelete
  62. I vote for #3, Smudged Butterfly.....although #2 runs a close second. Good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Mercy, I love #3 because it looks like you...
I love your work by the way but I am going to go with #2 because I love the font and the way it looked on a card..Pam Malaer

    ReplyDelete
  64. I say #3 but with the way you wrote your name in # 1 and 2. The font is better with the butterfly!
    :) And looks more you!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I vote for #3 because I love butterflies

    ReplyDelete
  66. I like the butterfly on #3, the font on #2 and the flower on #4. Does that count as an entry for the blog candy?? LOL! They are all gorgeous in their own way. You are very talented. BTW, you forgot my Photoshop tutorial while you were over yesterday so I'll guess you'll have to come back over, dang it!! And I guess we'll have to stamp while you are here, dang it. Then we'll have to eat and laugh, dang it. Are you out of bed yet? It's 12:30 in the afternoon. WAKE UP!! LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  67. I like #3 & #4. Prefer the image on #4 and the font in #3! Clear as mud?! And this comment was supposed to help you make a decision! laura j

    ReplyDelete
  68. You are right! It is a tough choice....ok..hmmmmmmm. I like the butterfly on # 4.....not what you wanted to hear?...Ok...#4...no...# 3....OK...It's 3!

    ReplyDelete
  69. These are all neat in their own way, as many have commented... but I think overall my favorite would be #4. Such a fun and cheery spring design!

Thanks for offering up this competition!

  70. I really like all of them, but I think that the butterfly is you! Great job on all of them though. ~chris

    ReplyDelete
  75. I agree with Laurie, above. #3 with the butterfly, but with the font from #1.

    ReplyDelete
  76. #3 graphically, #1 for the font

    ReplyDelete
  77. Hi, I like no. 3 the better, thanks for sharing...gina

    ReplyDelete
  78. I would have to pick #1
I like the one with the butterfly, but not the smudged background. I love your cards, they are always awesome!
    Ilene B.

    ReplyDelete
  79. i love the 1st one ~ i'm from Louisiana, so i'm a sucker for Fleur de Lis's!!!

    ReplyDelete
  80. Mercy, they are all classy and chic. I really liked #2 and #3. Ok...my favorite is.... ugh, what a hard choice ...#.... 3. The butterfly and her flight path is what really makes that design "pop" for me.

    Have a great day!

    Pam~

    ReplyDelete
  81. Mercy, I like the font from #2 and the smudged butterfly design from number 3. I think the font on number three doesn't look like you! LOL Love getting your blog in my inbox! Thanks for the inspiration! -Mary R. (scs #1volunteer)

    ReplyDelete
  82. Mercy, I totally vote for the butterfly. I think it's you. The flight of the butterfly is very whimsical and a lot of your cards are also whimsical. And the smudged background is fun...which I think you might have a bit of, too! :-) HTH!

    ReplyDelete
  83. I do love them all. Sowever, #3 is the easiest to read, so that would be my pick. What a talented lady you are!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Hi Mercy! I love #3 and I think the butterfly really does suite you best!! Have fun stamping with Pam and thanks for allowing us to help you choose your watermark!
    :) Hugs!

    ReplyDelete
  85. My pick would be #1. It is so spring-looking with that beautiful green. Love your cards and blog.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I love the script in #2 as well as the colour (but then my fav. colour is green). Love the flower on #4 but not fond of the script. Love how easy your name is to read on #3 and love the butterfly, but not big on the smudged background. So...If I had to pick, I'd go with #3 I think. Great job on all of them

    ReplyDelete
  87. I love #3 and #4. But I'd say #3 is my first choice!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Hi Mercy! I think #3 fits you but it's a bit much for a watermark. . .second choice is #1!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Love the Graphics on #3 but I'd change the font to #2 as it's more delicate like the butteryfly image.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I was torn between #3 and #4, but I decided that I like #3 the best. The font, butterfly and smudge background just work so well together. Whatever wins will be fine since they are all nice.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I really like all of them - this is a tough decision! If I were forced to choose one, I guess it would be #4

    ReplyDelete
  92. #3, Smudged Butterfly is my favorite! Have fun trying to decide on your final pick!
    Pam W

    ReplyDelete
  93. No. 3 with the butterfly is my favorite.
    Carol C

    ReplyDelete
  94. I'm gonna say #3 (but then again, I'm a sucker for butterflies).
I can see why you're having a hard time choosing.

    ReplyDelete
  95. #3 smudged butterfly. I love the little trail of the butterfly and the smudging.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I love the Butterfly smudge! Those little trail dots you've added give it just the right touch. Now, if you changed the font to be the one from #4, it would be perfect, but even as it is, #3 is hands down the clear winner! Thanks for sharing your beautiful creations!
    Sheryl

  97. I like the butterfly smudge. Butterflies are so uplifing and fun, sure to go along with your blog as a header.

    ReplyDelete
  98. If I were to choose.. I would pick #3. I think that fits you.

    Lisa

    ReplyDelete
  99. I like the #3 Butterfly choice! I like the font with your name, and the image fits your style I think. It would fit for pretty, elegant, whimsical, pretty much anything!

    ReplyDelete
  100. I think number 2 because you already sign your posts with the same font

    ReplyDelete
  101. I really think #1 is the best. I like the 3D effect on your name and I like the script used for your name.

Coming in a close second is #3, the smudged butterfly.

    ReplyDelete
  102. #1- The font is great. In your last few posts you have used some of each, but the font in number one seems to show better. I like to be able to see your name (but it isn't too much you know), cause everyone should know they are your cards because they are so fab!

    ReplyDelete
  103. Hard choice but Number 1. Easy to read. Your name just pops right out

    ReplyDelete
  104. I personally think that either #1 or #3 fit your style best. #2 & #4 are too boring for the style you have. Thanks again and good luck choosing.

    ReplyDelete
  105. My vote is for "Smudged Butterfly". I've never seen a watermark quite like and I think the smudging will make your information more clear.

    :-)

    ReplyDelete
  106. I love butterflies so that is the ont that gets my vote!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  107. I think #4 is clean and simple and easy to read!

    ReplyDelete
  111. Number 4 is my choice!!! Love the font in that one!

  112. Oo, #3, I like the butterfly with the dotted trail!
Can't wait to see which you choose!
    Blessings, Maria

  113. I say either #1 or #3. I like the font on #1, and the background on #3.

  115. Mary Lou KlevelandApril 1, 2009 at 10:39 AM

#3 jumped out at me right away because of the butterfly and you seem to use butterflies BEAUTIFULLY in your stamping. They are all really cool though. I thought the smudged background was a neat twist on #3 as well

    ReplyDelete
  116. Wow they are all fabulous. But I really love #1!
Thanks for a chance at a SU stamp set. I hope I'm the lucky stamper.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I have to say that I like #3 the best. What creativity to come up with 4 great watermarks. Enjoying your work very much.

    ReplyDelete
  118. At first, I chose #1, but after looking at them for a bit, I would pick #3. It just seems more like you!

    ReplyDelete
  119. Hey Mercy - Definately and For Sure the one with the butterfly. It feels like you!

    ReplyDelete
  120. Hello,

I would pick #3 smudged butterfly

    very fun..

thanks for the opportunity to win!

    Missy from Naches, WA

    ReplyDelete
  121. I liked #1 and 3 but since I can only choose 1 - my fav would be 3 - like the butterfly!

    ReplyDelete
  122. It's a toss up for me between Smudged Butterfly and Fleur.

I guess if I have to choose it would be Fleur.

    HTH.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I like the butterfly because it is more like you and your style. You have a wonderful blog. Thanks for the chance to win...

    ReplyDelete

    Hugs Sarah-Jane xx

    ReplyDelete
  125. I vote for #3 - seems to fit you well!

    ReplyDelete
  126. I think #3 suits your style best.
Thanks for the opportunity to win some great blog candy. Barb

    ReplyDelete
  127. My vote is for #3. It suits you well. I like the fleur on #1 but your name appears smudged on this one. Yep, definitely #3.

    ReplyDelete
  128. I like #3, it's easy to read, stylish and the butterfly is perfect :)
    Nfoz

    ReplyDelete
  129. I pick #3 Smudged Butterfly....it makes a bold statement which compliments your beautiful work.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I'm picking #1 for you because I really like the font for your name...suits your cards. Also the fleur is a smaller background image so as not to take away from your name, like the background smuge does in #3. Thanks for the chance to win :)

    ReplyDelete
  131. I like #3 the best. It is pretty and feminine. I think that is a good fit for your cards, which are always so beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  132. My favourite is #3! They are all great, so I can totally see why you were having troubles deciding!

    ReplyDelete
  133. I think #4 is my favorite, but I also like #2. :o)

    ReplyDelete
  134. Number 3 is clean, yet pretty. The URL is easier to read with this font. And the butterfly seems to be more in line with your style.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I prefer #2 for the clean look of the words. I'm not too keen on the background image though.

    ReplyDelete
  136. I think I'd go for #3 without the smudge background. #4 is good too, but I think you name is too bold for a watermark - I'd go with something a little thinner/softer. Just my two cents worth.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Looks like the "Char's" are on the same page. I too think the #3 watermark is beautiful... although I would like to see #3 with your current swirly cursive signature :0)

Good luck choosing and thanks for the op to win some YUMMY rubber!!
